2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

Great figure that could have been perfect where It not for his lack of abdomen/waist articulation.

Sometimes ,while sitting at my desktop ,I'll be looking around at my collection and I'll get the urge to fiddle around with a certain action figure.This particular time It was my Infinite Series Daredevil figure.

So much for the different colored backgrounds and light box experiment.I'm going back to pics on the shelf.The box was really beginning to be a pain in the ass.I didn't have any place to store It and backgrounds were beginning to scatter.Just one big fail :( Oh well.To the figure... Everyone has pretty much been a part of the Avengers at one point or another. Wonder Man Is a character who was a regular  In the 80's Avengers comics I used to own as a kid. He was a bit of a vein ,aspiring actor type,but was also pretty damn powerful when It came to throwing down .I always liked him because of that.This wasn't the version of  Simon Williams I wanted,but seeing as how the original MU Wonder Man Is going for big bucks on eBay,I'll have to settle for this one. It's not a horrible figure at all.You can call this his "ionic energy" variant but to me It's just a pissed off version of Wonder Man.It's always better  to avoid crossing  paths with so...

Ooops,I'm sorry. I meant new additions. Recently I was able to sell off some more of my baseball cards to fortify  my  Marvel Universe collection.Wonder Man will be a place holder and Psylocke will be a mainstay.Although I think I'll give  her power flow accessory to Wonder Man.Cool It now,I'll have loose pics of both figures up within the next couple of days.Shit,maybe even tonight If I get extremely bored.

I've been trying to switch It up a little here on 2 Minute Toy Break.Fooling around with different backgrounds has proven to be fun but I'm not completely sold on It yet. Big Manila over at  The Collector's Lens  just gave me the inspiration I needed to go ahead and build a full blown light box.What I'm using now Is a normal box with the colored sheets of paper behind the figures.All I have to do now Is cut a couple sides out,add the tissue paper and It should be set.I don't know about you but I have to try new things in order to stay interested.Sometimes ,a new figure will inspire me like that Palisades Kermit ,and then I run with it.So be prepared for a lot of different backgrounds and pic variations for these next couple of posts.I went with an orange background for Black Cat but It looks more like a yellow In the pics.Oh well.

Another discounted Hasbro Toy Shop pick up,Beta Ray Bill has found his way onto my Marvel Universe toy shelf.I don't care If they're released under the  Infinite or Legends 3 3/4 mantra ,to me they are all Marvel Universe.I must admit to only picking this figure up due to the low,low price tag of $3.99.  I just thought,this Is too cool of a character to pass up.Beta Ray Bill may sound like the name of a used VCR salesman to you ,but he Is far from that.In fact Beta was one of the few characters In the Marvel Universe mythos to ever give Thor a good ol' run for his money.Beta Ray Bill was even able to lift Mjolnir and use It against Thor In the midst of the heated battle.Odin catches wind of the skirmish and deems Beta worthy of his own hammer,Stormbreaker!You have to check out some of his cartoon appearances ,Planet Hulk comes to mind as one of my personal favs. Truthfully,I didn't know shit about Beta Ray Bill until I decided to actually go ahead and purchase the figur...

And yet another villain to add to my Marvel Universe collection!This Is one of the nicer figures In the Infinite series.Plus,his  scythe makes for a great back scratcher. My fondest Grim Reaper memories date back to my child hood.Just kidding.I don't know much about Grim Reaper   but remember him being Simon Williams'/Wonder Man's brother.$3.99 on ebay Hasbro Toy Shop. Go get him! Come on,wouldn't  you want a scythe for a right arm ,too?!?

Head on over to Hasbro Toy Shop now people!They've got a great sale on action figures ,from Littlest Pet Shop to Marvel Infinite.You can get to them via ebay!I just picked up two Marvel Infinite series figures at 3.99 a piece! The prices may have gone up since then but It won't hurt to check and see.Many of the discounted figures include the lesser popular ones like Big Time Spider-Man ,Grim Reaper and Thunder Strike Thor .Hell,Hyperion Is still floating around there as well.So definitely check them out.Even If they're not figures on your want list,at the price they're going for,It's totes worth It ;) I had to do it.. . A lot of people overlooked this figure because of the bad reviews It got on YouTube.Not so much for his appearance but more so because of his lack of leg movement.Others had gripes with the choice of alternate heads ,which to me,makes no difference.I'm loving the crap out of this figure right now. This Is such a stud figure.Damn near perfect,If It weren't for the lack of an ab crunch.The bright blue captures the essence of the Beasts character as does the head sculpt.You can almost hear him growling.Oh,sorry that was my stomach.Back to the figure,though.Hasbro got everything right,but the  lack of ab articulation.At least he's got rocker ankles and his legs move freely to execute those Beast like poses.I think he's a bit underrated and If you act fast,he's selling for 4.99 shipped on eBay right now from Hasbro Toy Shop.What am I talking about,you guys probably already have him.But chances are you paid more than I did :p  

Two sorely needed figures have been crossed off  the list.I can finally move on from these two and focus on the other  MU figures that are currently on my want list.
