2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

The Danger Room display was cool but when you look at It ,you know It's the Danger Room.Only X-Men figs would make sense In that setting.This display ,on the other hand,can be used for pretty much any style of action figure.Modern figures look great with It...... ......but I think I prefer the way the larger ,vintage  figures look. Rambo Is already a kick ass line  of figures but this display makes them pop even more! This display  even makes knock off 80's military figs look bad ass ! B.A. Is about to walk In on an illegal chop shop (is that redundant?) operation! 90's Marvel Superheroes figures pop on their own,no display needed,but they look good displayed here. Incorporating figures around the back of the display Is something I should have done more In the above pics.The open area on the door can be a nice place to display extra figures seeing as how the front Is a little limited ,space wise. A while back I posted about a figure made by a toy company called  Mel Appel .These  were pretty much clones of  a 1986 line of larger scaled military figures made by Marchon called M-Force.At that time I though the Mel Apple figures were just spin offs with a different name.I was wrong.They were not only smaller In scale ,but cheaper In quality.The legs and arms were made out of a cheaper ,softer plastic than the torso and head sculpt .I liked It but always longed to own the real deal,  Marchon  M-Force figure!I had a couple of  them as a kid ,using them as a supporting cast to brand named Rambo figures.I was able to find one ,incomplete, with bandoleer ,utility belt ,green beret and dog tags.In really good shape and most importantly, cheap!Say hello to Rizzo! As you can see,the Mel Appel figure Is alot shorter and shittier looking.Luckily the weapons and accessories are fully interchangeable!I was able to attach the Mel Apple figure's gun holster ...

 Up until today,this had been my only Rambo Force of Freedom action figure.Kind of bland with no accessories save for his trademark knife. I've been wanting to find his belt and bandolier  for the longest and ultimately ended up just replacing the whole gosh darn figure. Behold... Can you spot the differences?Apparently there were two versions of this figure.One with a small head and one with a bigger one.I always knew this but wasn't aware that the one I recently got In the mail was the big head version until I had It In hand.  I'm still missing his rocket launcher and a couple of other accessories but I like my new Rambo figure ,now. I think It's  a decent  upgrade.Although,I'm not sure which size head I prefer.
