2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

This is actually my second ML Miles figure. I had to purchase a replacement because I gave the first one to my 4 year old grandkid who apparently knows more about the character than I do. I say this because immediately after giving him the figure he began shouting " SPIN!, SPIN!, SPIN!" I laughed out loud and asked his mom who Spin was. Turns out it's what they call him in the kid friendly Disney XD cartoon. Geek card revoked again! This time by a 4 year old, lol! So proud, tho 😊  There are more than a few Miles Morales figures out there and this one isn't the most popular. Some have complained about the head being too big and the legs looking a bit off but neither really stand out to me. Miles is just a  kid so the head should be a little bigger than his still growing body.  This figure is a nice representation of Miles as he appeared in his Marvel comics debut. I'm enjoying it and look forward to addin...

 #2 It's no mystery that Legends has been killing it with their super popular line of 6 inch Marvel action figures. I've been able to resist the urge, opting to cherry pick figures and sets here and there.  Fave Factor: Marvel Legends Gamerverse Punisher/Nick Fury embodies everything I love about the characters and the 16 bit Sega Genesis video game. Besides two really great action figures you're getting a crap-load of weapons an explosion effect, alternate hands, cash filled suitcase plus a cool 16 bit backdrop. These are also my favorite Punisher head sculpts to date.

 I remember playing The Punisher Sega Genesis game and wondering why Nick Fury was dressed differently than in the comics. Did he look like this at any point in the marvel comic universe? I'll have to look that up. Either way, it's still a bad ass look for S.H.I.E.L.D. commander, Nick Fury! 

I'm not one to pull the trigger too fast on anything that has just been released. I usually wait it out to see if the price comes down or if the reviews are positive. With this set though, I had to make an exception. I'll give you the deets as soon as I get these guys out of their plastic restraints. Loose pics coming! 

   Those of you who have followed my blog long enough know what the Secret Wars line of vintage figures mean to me. I'll never forget walking out of an early 80s CVS with Mattel's Secret Wars Dr. Doom in hand feeling like all was right in the world. 40 years later, Hasbro is picking up where Mattel left off, releasing their first wave of Secret Wars figures. I wasn't going to pick up any others from the line but after playing around with Iron Man, I may have to.  While not 100% percent faithful to the original, Marvel Legends SW Iron Man gets alot right. The paint, lenticular shield and gun are spot on. The added bonuses like spare hands, blast effects,  extra shield insert and roller skates are icing on the cake. I'm looking forward to picking up the rest of the wave.
