2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

Those of you who regularly check In on my blog know how badly I've been wanting to add a Marvel Universe Wonder Man figure to my collection.Finally ,I was able to find one at a reasonable price. I'd like to do some research at some point to see what It Is that makes some of these figures so much more expensive than others from the same line. I don't need many to complete my personal want list but the ones I need are obviously the ones that I can't really afford,and It kind of blows. Even If I could afford them ,I wouldn't pay any of those insane asking prices. I don't know what It Is about Wonder Man that I dig so much.I think It's a combination of his dope outfit ,color scheme and  his mental instability. He's a character that's kind of vein and all over the place and I can dig that.Relate to It almost. He's also pretty damn powerful when at full strength. A quick head swap and.... 

I recently received my package containing 17  issues of  Wonder Man 1991 -94!This was a series I wanted to get into as a kid but only managed to  pick up the two titles you see below.I don't know what happened.I must have lost interest.I do remember really loving the character.Wonder Man came off as being kind of  aloof  and arrogant In the comics,some-timing as a Hollywood actor.He was kind of a lone wolf and that was something I gravitated towards when It came to comic book heroes and villains that appealed to me.I can't wait to read through these again and give you guys a little more insight into one of Marvels', IMO,most underrated heroes. I decided to paint my Wonder Man's hair black.There a little bit too much transparency for my tastes,taking away from the characters identity.At least with the black hair Wonder Man will be a little easier to distinguish. 

So much for the different colored backgrounds and light box experiment.I'm going back to pics on the shelf.The box was really beginning to be a pain in the ass.I didn't have any place to store It and backgrounds were beginning to scatter.Just one big fail :( Oh well.To the figure... Everyone has pretty much been a part of the Avengers at one point or another. Wonder Man Is a character who was a regular  In the 80's Avengers comics I used to own as a kid. He was a bit of a vein ,aspiring actor type,but was also pretty damn powerful when It came to throwing down .I always liked him because of that.This wasn't the version of  Simon Williams I wanted,but seeing as how the original MU Wonder Man Is going for big bucks on eBay,I'll have to settle for this one. It's not a horrible figure at all.You can call this his "ionic energy" variant but to me It's just a pissed off version of Wonder Man.It's always better  to avoid crossing  paths with so...

Ooops,I'm sorry. I meant new additions. Recently I was able to sell off some more of my baseball cards to fortify  my  Marvel Universe collection.Wonder Man will be a place holder and Psylocke will be a mainstay.Although I think I'll give  her power flow accessory to Wonder Man.Cool It now,I'll have loose pics of both figures up within the next couple of days.Shit,maybe even tonight If I get extremely bored.
