Funko Vinyl Soda - Captain America

Image
It's kind of embarrassing that I'm so late to the Funko craze. I'm pretty sure toy bloggers every where have posted about these in the past and I probably bypassed it. At the height of Funko popularity I was strictly collecting 3.75 figures. Nothing more. In fact I can remember certain posts in which I criticized the Funko brand because of how ubiquitous it had become. They were everywhere! It took  me a while but as of late ive been able to appreciate the cool deco possibilities of not only the POP! figures and lunchboxes but these vinyl soda cans, too!  Here's what you get! A  pog with a cool  headshot and a well made rubber/pvc figure!   These days, Funko is just what the doctor ordered and It's been a fun change of pace from my normal collecting habits. Stay tuned for my recent POP! figure pick ups!

I picked this up mainly for the lunch box as It gives me mad 80s elementary school vibes! The goodies included within were a major plus! Check out the pics!

Action Figure Of The Day

Image
I was never a big fan of Funko and their POP! line of mini statues, but I really liked what they did with their 4" MOTU themed and retro styled figures. This is Scarecrow from the Funko Savage World line of DC figures, which IMO, looks cooler than his original design.

Funko Primal Age Scarecrow

It's been a hot minute since I've picked up any new action figures but at a mere 5 bucks and some change shipped , I couldn't pass up this Funko DC Primal Age Scarecrow figure. Man , holding this thing gave me flashbacks of  old Remco Lost World of the Warlord figures. Everything from the packaging , the weight of it and even  the smell of plastic chemicals that comes oozing out of the clamshell after opening. I realize that I am quite late to the Primal Age party. By the time I got tired of holding out for new 3 3/4 figures , Funko had inundated the market with a barrage of  5.5 MOTU styled action figures . I held out on those ,too , until the other day. I already knew what to expect as I had already picked up a Zorn figure which Is pretty much the same deal.      The great thing about this figure Is that It doesn't have to be Scarecrow. Funko gave some of these figures such a unique look that they could literally drop int...

Son of Zorn - Zorn (Funko)

Image
I said I had had It with the influx of Funko but when I first laid eyes on this figure In the movie/media section of my Target ,It left an impression. So much so that I had to go back for It .Son of Zorn was a Roger Rabbit like series that lasted only one season before being cancelled. The show  starred Zorn ,a barbarian who moves to Orange County California to reconnect with Ex-Wife and son. I've only caught snippets of It on Hulu. Hopefully they will release the whole season at some point. Collect all two! lol! Funko borrows from older styled Remco action figures for their Zorn design and totally pulled It off.I ,honestly , can't say a bad thing about this action figure.Everything on It has been executed pretty much flawlessly.Like I've stated in the past,I like going after figures that appeal to the kid In me.Zorn would have immediately been moved to the top of my action figure ranks. He's that bad ass.And that sword..! Zorn sports 6 points of articu...
