Transformers G1 Re Issue Ravage/Rumble

Image
What better way to anticipate the arrival of  G1 ReIssues of Ravage and Rumble than by working out while watching some old G1 TF's episodes? The card came In pretty good shape but I had no intentions of keeping these sealed.  Two things of beauty! Much like 1985 Snake Eyes ,Ravage was a Transformers figure I always wanted as a kid. Thanks to Hasbro's  re-issue ,I'm finally able to  hold this fantastic replica in-hand ! Since I never owned an original ,I'm not sure how true to it this version is. It's gotta be damn close, tho. Rumble...or..Frenzy ...whatever you want to call him, Is  pretty cool  ,too. He kind of reminds me of those old  80's Transformer watches . I think they share similarities In their transformations. What I love most about both of these figures, besides the fact that they transform Into awesome little cassette tapes , Is their chromed out weaponry. How glorious are these little...

Transformers G1 Reissue Warpath

Image
I can finally knock another figure off my want and watch list.Funny that Toy Box brought up the fact that most of the time ,brick and mortar stores never have what we're looking for.Well, this time I had no intentions on picking up any figures. What was supposed to be just a quick dog food run to the grocery store turned into a fruitful toy hunt.I don't think Warpath released with the initial wave of minicon reissues,as he was nowhere to be found during that time.I remembered seeing some Walmart reissue Warpath listings on eBay recently  and decided to quickly scan the toy aisles before exiting with my dog food and other miscellaneous items.Sure enough, there he was! Isn't that card art glorious! It's like Warpath's reaching out to grab the action figure before you get a chance to break It out of It's plastic confines!  Warpath was one of the few Transformers I owned as a kid and I absolutely loved him!Maybe It had  to do with the fact that he was a ...

G1 Prime! (Well,Sorta)

Image
You guys don't know how long I've had this figure In my sights. It's been on my Ebay watch list for months ,multiple times. Everytime I see It on Wal Mart shelves I smh at the $50 price tag.I almost took the plunge on the knock off from China but I was afraid of something going wrong during shipping. Finally, one of the Prime's In my watch list dropped to an even $30 and I bought It for myself as an early birthday gift to me :) That boxart Is downright hypnotizing! You can't help but feel like a kid again when cracking open these reissues! Now,I'm no vintage Transformers aficionado, but according to You tubers that are, these Prime reissues are far from being exact replicas.Well, for one It comes without the trailer. The colors are also a little brighter and the fists are a bit smaller than the originals. Here's Prime without the stickers. I gotta tell ya,my decal game Is way off these days.At certain points It felt like I was disarming an I.E.D. S...

Quick!Call An Exterminator!

Image
With summer time right around the corner,so too are the hordes of insects that come along with It.Today I found one In my mailbox. And now It's sitting  on my toy shelf! It is an honor to finally add an Insecticon (reissue) to my vintage toy collection.I'm back peddling on my stance on reissued action figures.I'm going to make an exception for G1 Transformers and If Hasbro ever decides to reissue G.I. Joe ARAH figures ,them too.I say this because many of the originals are so beat up and lack that polished vac metal that the newer, reissued figures, have maintained over the years. Shrapnel here even came with a famed energon cube that  fits nicely In his chest compartment! I'm not absolutely positive, but I think this was a TRU exclusive , released back in 2004.I could be totally wrong, though.Regardless,It's a perfect representation of the vintage Shrapnel from 1985 and looks absolutely fantastic on display!I had all three Insecticons as a ...

Transformers G1 (Reissue) Wal Mart Exclusive Bumblebee

Image
If you've been around my site long enough ,you've most likely read about the time my G1 Bumblebee got stolen. If not ,then let me reiterate.I was around 8 or 9 years old in the third grade and pretty popular with the girls I might add.I was a good looking kid ,what can I say ;) Here was the problem,in a nutshell. Most popular girl in class liked me.Strongest kid in class liked most popular girl. Strongest kid in class punches me in the nose on school bus ride home, tells me to stay away from popular girl and then proceeds to steal my G1 Bumblebee. In one fell swoop I lose the girl and my Bumblebee figure!Yeah,The Karate Kid was a great film ,but total bullshit!Had I lifted my arms and leg to attempt a crane kick he would have probably punched me in the stomach ,too. The slight humming sound and watery eyes after getting punched in the nose was tolerable but I wasn't about to risk further injury trying to pull a Ralph Machio. Fast forward from 1986 to 2019 .I've got the girl...

Powerglide,Transformed Correctly

Image
When you get old,you forget how to do stuff, like ride a bike, use a smart phone ,oh and yeah, properly transform your G1 Transformers.I was wondering why my Powerglide looked so bland In my post the other day.It turns out he was standing backwards.I didn't realize his head spins, making his front side a little cooler to look at.I'm such a dumb-dumb!
