DC McFarlane Superpowers - Superman

Image
I'm really impressed with McFarlanes relentless push into the action figure foray. His name has definitely become more prevalent in mainstream toy aisles. I've done a good job of resisting most of it, as hard as that's been. DC Superpowers, tho 🧐 This line just keeps growing. I had a few but ultimately sent them to Brother Midnight, with no intentions of recollecting anything else from the line. That is, until this Superman figure released.

After selling off most of my DC Infinite Crisis 3.75 figures I tried filling the  void with Spinmaster's offerings. It worked, a little. Now that McFarlane has been releasing this line of 7" DC figs I feel a little reinvigorated and eager to build up my DC collection again.

DC McFarlane Batman (Three Jokers)

$ 19.99 isn't bad at all for these McFarlane DC figures. This is the first in my collection but something tells me  It won't be the last . The sculpt, paint and range of motion on this figure is incredible. The foot articulation at the toes helps immensely when posing and keeps things balanced. Just a great figure overall. I highly  recommend! DC McFarlane figures are big! They blend in nicely with Masterverse figures but not so much with Legends or Classified. I was kind of bummed about that.

Looking forward to cracking this one open! Stay tuned!

The Walking Dead - Carl Grimes

Image
It took me a while to embrace the character early on in the series but once Carl Grimes came into his own he became one of my favorites.  I kind of figured he'd end up being alot like his dad and to a certain extent ,given his heart and compassion for others, a better version of Rick Grimes. This figure is an earlier representation of the character. The weathering effect on these figures is top notch. I love the paint apps, especially on the boots and vest/hoodie. Next time...

I know these figures have probably been shown in the past and TWD is kind of a thing of the past. But, not for me it ain't 😉 I'm so digging these figures right now!  I've always been a fan of McFarlane and his sports related figures and these have that same feel, only with more articulation. The amount of detail is insanely cool on these Walking Dead figures. You'll find yourself looking them over, once in hand and out of the packaging, for little logos and other telltale signs specific to each character. I joked about it with GI Jigsaw, when I asked him If he had stuffed the real actors in the box because of how big the package was. But looking at the 3d printed sculpts ,it seems I wasn't that far off. These figures look amazing and Rick Grimes here is no exception.  Thanks again, GI Jigsaw💥💥💥 Next time....
