2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

I remember a time when I could walk into a department/toy store and be totally surprised by what I came across In the toy aisles.  In fact, the only forewarning came from the tail end of a quick 2 minute commercial or a low definition pic in a comic book or  catalog.  Another telltale sign would be a newly premiered  Saturday morning cartoon that gained popularity. This  usually meant an action figure line for the series was  fast approaching. Even then we never knew what the actual product was going to look like until we made the trip out to our local toy or department store to meet and greet the toy, face to face. Nothing compared to the giddiness we got as  kids In the car  on our way to Toys R Us. The anticipation of finding that hot, new action figure line on fully stocked pegs! The rush of adrenaline on your way back home, specimen in hand,  to spread the good toy news to your friends! O.k. this mostly applies to our childhood, I know,...

The wife's away for a couple of days so what better way to spend the time than by setting up a new action figure display lol.I snatched this up from my parents today and will be filling it with action figures tonight over a glass of red wine 😉 Damn, 2020 !Where does the time go? Happy New Years people !

I thought this would make for a pretty cool post,especially with X-Mas just a couple days away.This Kenner pamphlet slid out of my Starting Lineup Award Winners box upon opening.This brought me back like you wouldn't believe!One of my favorite childhood pastimes was looking through toy guides ,marking off figures I needed to complete collections. We recently picked up a new printer with scanner so I figured why not give It a test run.The pics aren't as detailed and crisp as I would have liked them to be ,but that's something I'll have to work on as I go.Trial and error ,I guess.If anyone's got any scanning tips,all are welcomed :)
