Luke Skywalker/ Storm Trooper - Star Wars (Epic Heroes)

Image
Here's a closer look at my recent Pick ups out of the packaging. I like head sculpt on the Skywalker figure. It's clean and the overall figure is solid. The Storm Trooper is pretty great, too. The one thing I'm noticing are the holes on the arms of the Storm Trooper.  Darth Vader has them as well. I'm wondering if they'll be releasing a weapons pack or a deluxe figure set with additional accessories that plug into the arms. It's a possibility.  Either way, the holes don't bug me much. The last Pic is for comparison. Pictured with the Epic Heroes figures are vintage  Kenner Lando and Leia.

Star Wars Black Series 3 3/4 - Luke Skywalker

I was happy to find these figures marked all the way down to 5 bucks and some change from their original 13 dollar price tag.I've already got a battle at Hoth   Luke in his X-Wing uniform and a Power of the Force Bespin Luke which was basically a place holder until I could come across a better, more articulated  version. This Luke I really like although I'm just realizing that this Is not the Luke/Vader final battle version. He's not wearing his glove.I believe this Is the Luke that confronts Jabba because of the robe he's wearing. If anybody has anymore info I'd greatly appreciate It. I've watched the films a ton but I'm not one of those line for line, scene for scene fanatics. I really like him In his robe, though. One odd thing about this figure, and I think It's been covered before In past reviews,Is the loss or lack of paint on the tips of his boots.I'm not sure If It's supposed to be wear  or just a figure flaw.I could always touch It up...

Figures That I was Lucky Enough To Find In The Wild - Star Wars Saga Legends Luke Skywalker (Snow Speeder Pilot)

Image
A couple summers ago ,I found myself wanting to bolster my contemporary Star Wars collection with a sorely needed Luke Skywalker figure. All I had was 5 bucks In my pocket and while I knew that 5 Below always had a nice variation of 5 dollar figures to choose from,It was way too far and out of my way.So I hit up our local Marshall's,a clothing store with a small toy section that always carried  clearanced action figures. It's where I picked up most of my G.I. Joe Rise Of Cobra  figures, for about 3 bucks a piece.Of course I wasn't expecting to find Star Wars figures there, let alone any Luke Skywalker's. In fact I was open to snagging up whatever I found because  frankly,I was jonesing for any kind of action figure ..action.I let out a resounding "Fuck Yeah!" when I saw this Luke Skywalker Snow Speeder Pilot figure on clearance for about 3 bucks and change! My Jedi instincts paid off .Now It was off to the checkout counter to press my luck and  see If I could use m...

Star Wars POF- Bespin Luke Skywalker

Image
I kind of painted myself Into a corner when I began  to try and build a Star Wars collection.I started with the Vintage Collection because of the articulation and likeness to their movie counterparts.I managed to snag up most of the major characters like Vader,Han and Fett.To fill In I picked up some Saga Legends figures like X-Wing Fighter Pilot Luke ,Yoda ,R2 and Chewbacca. Unfortunately, the Lukes I really wanted ,Bespin and Jedi Luke, were a bit too pricey for my tastes. After watching a couple  Tee-Bizz  vids on his Youtube channel ,I learned about a Star Wars line called Power Of The Force.John over at http://robotmonsterspacesuperhero.blogspot.com/  also got me into this awesome ,affordable line.Lots of collectors have ventured down this path ,opting for these figures instead of the new, lesser articulated The Force Awakens figures.I wasn't interested In either actually, just a couple figures to fill my small collection.Power Of The Force had just what I was l...
