2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

Curate ;  select, organize, and look after the items in (a collection or exhibition). "both exhibitions are curated by the museum's director" Lets    start with the first one.How do I select my collection or items In my collection? Very simple. 95 % of It  has to have some kind of childhood connection.I had to have at least owned It or wanted It real bad as a kid.Although lately I've been restricting myself ,only acquiring vintage that I owned as a kid.The other 5% Is made up of miscellaneous things that I just think are cool. Second,how do I organize? I guess you could count displaying as organizing as everything that I have displayed Is bunched together according to the line.All my Joes together,all my Marvel Universe together and so on and so forth.I'm too ocd to have It any other way.Once In a while I'll mix a Joe into my Marvel Universe display and vice versa ,but for the most part my figures are segregated....

I'm hoping Mr.Smith doesn't mind me changing the rules up here a little ,but I'd like to give Round Robin Challengers an extra week on this assignment.Only because It will involve a little leg work.This weeks challenge,should you choose to accept it,goes a little something like this... Remember how cool It was when our moms would come home from shopping and we found items like the following In the grocery bags? Now we get to relive that magical moment!Your mission Is to go out and pick up any cartoon/movie themed food item and review it!Snap pics of  the food contents within.Is it fairly priced?Does It live up to the hype?How well does It represent the characters on the  box?How  does It taste and would you recommend ?   Bloggers who find an item with a premium prize inside will receive a bonus.Heck I might even send them a little something :) Good Luck!!!!

If I could do  one thing over,It would be to duck and counter  instead of taking one right in the nose from the school bus bully back In the 4th grade .That motherfucker!He was mad because a girl liked me and not him.Boo-Hoo,my bad.Sorry If she liked the way I rapped Slick Rick's  La Di- Da Di  and not your sucky art skills.That shit hurt man lol. I'll never forget the great purge of G.I. Joe ROC movie merchandise!They were literally passing these boxes out at the door ,where there were tons more stacked on top of each other just waiting to not be purchased.I say that because I'm pretty sure kids weren't interested  In these at the time.Only slow footed adult toy collectors knew what these toys were all about and the value that came with them.I picked up both of these at 5 bucks a piece!Not too shabby considering both came with an action figure pilot.These two sit at the bottom of my shelving unit collecting dust with the only other two vehicles I own.They're still pretty damn neat and every now and again I'll pick up the Hydra and fly It around my room while making swooshing sounds.I still love my Gunship,too,! I guess I'll go back In time a bit to write about one of my greatest Halloween memories.I was 11 or 12,and  had moved to a house near my cousin.That year he  called me and  asked me to go trick or treating with him that Halloween.The plot thickened when he said It would be one of the biggest candy scores ever ,If we played our cards right.You see,my aunt worked for the city at the time,and was privy to certain bits of information that your average trick or treater ,well,just wasn't .It turned out that the Mayor of our city lived a few blocks away from  them and every Halloween ,he'd leave two big boxes out on the porch,filled with individually bagged assorted candies  and a sign that read "take-one". I knew what my cousin had In mind.He wasn't a saint and neither was I.And we certainly weren't about to only take one bag of candy from our super generous Mayor's front porch that Halloween. Nightmares scare the shit out of me.I don't know about you guys and your bad dreams but mine seem to be written and directed by  Stephen King.The only thing Is that they don't feel like a movie.They feel like the real thing.To the point where when I wake up and realize that I'm still lying safely  In my bed,I let out  a big sigh of relief.I've had Jason Vorhees  dreams and as a kid I had a nightmare with Juggernaut.Yes ,a life size Juggernaut  was In my room and he was giving me this mean,clenched teeth stare and  It scared the fruit of the looms off me.Every once In a while I'll have an end of the world dream .I'm  talking meteor showers,news anchors giving us the countdown to when we should expect the big  bright flash ,the whole nine yards.Pretty crazy stuff.So yeah,nightmares scare me,alot!
