It's nice to have a little something to look at while taking care of your business.Don't like making the trek out to your local comic shop? Are hobby shops a little too dark and dank for your tastes?Don't worry ,Dollar Tree has you covered.Unless you live out in the sticks ,there should be a Dollar Tree right around the corner form you. While I don't recommend their toilet paper, they do carry something that will come In handy on your next trip to the john.$1 comic packs! It used to be three so-so comics for a buck but now you get one quality book and some trading cards.I managed to find an Infinity Gauntlet issue # 3 on one occasion and a couple of days ago ,I found this!                                                        AHHHH...Smells like early 80's! I never knew Hercules had his own series of comic books. And how cool Is this,I got ...

Marvel Mini Busts @ Dollar Tree!

Image
Every once In a while Dollar Tree will have something In the toy aisle that makes me do a double take.Check out these mini busts! They are about 2  1/2 inches tall and are made out of solid plastic. I had to look through the Captain Americas as lots of them had paint rubs. There were a few decent ones though.   Iron Man Is my favorite of the two with the glossy paint job on his armor. Most of  these had great paint apps.  These look  damn cool on display and can be placed pretty much anywhere you'd like.Desk tops, window ledges and If you get yourself some Velcro, they'd look great  on your car dash.I hope they release Hulk and Thor at some point.

I've always wanted some working ,folding chairs for my action figures to sit in.They're especially cool In dioramas and playsets. Online you'll pay close to 5 bucks for a pair and that's not even factoring In the shipping costs.Luckily I was able to find some at Dollar Tree ,included with an action figure that I have passed up so many times before. At first,I wasn't sure If the chairs would work/fold out ,thinking that maybe they were in a fixed bang-a-wrestler-in-the-head position. To my delight, after  getting them out of the packaging, they worked! Not bad for a buck a piece considering they each come with a postmortem Sylvester Stallone action figure. These chairs are made of a durable plastic and work well with your 3 3/4 vintage Joes.I find they work even better with the modern Marvel Universe figures  and Joes. Anything 3 3/4 that bends at the knees pretty much.  Nothing says R&R like a game of musical chairs!

Picked up a couple of Dollar Tree extras to add to my Fisher Price Castle Doom !The one set I already had but sent It over to Orniphus as extras in a trade package.I really like the cannon that It came with so I had to reacquire It .The wrestling set I snagged up for the ladder. How else are Doom's team of baddies going to get from the lower levels up to the second floor?I'm still looking for a Castle Greyskull orange throne to try and fit into the castle somewhere. For now, this Is what I got.

TMNT Mini 3D Puzzles

Image
I didn't know what to expect from these 3D puzzle sets I found at Dollar Tree last night.I thought, with my daughter getting ready for the prom  and my house about to be turned upside down by make up wielding moms and high tensioned ,terrifying teens,I would barricade myself In the room and relieve some stress by attempting to assemble this cheap TMNT mini 3D puzzle. The funny thing is , my stress level could have easily doubled had this puzzle turned out to be a total ,dysfunctional disaster.Luckily, everything went surprisingly well  :) Even opening the box was a snap. One  single ,small strip of tape removed   and voila! One thing I quickly noticed was the absence of any instructions. The "Age 6 +" stamping on the box seems pretty appropriate as someone younger may have a hard time figuring out how to get this thing started. I was impressed with the artwork on the panels as well as the thickness of the card stock. It's pretty durable stuff. ...
