2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

I'll admit to not knowing much  about Ackbar.I remember seeing him on a ship ,co piloting,maybe?I always thought he was the coolest looking alien In the film,though.As a kid I always wanted his action figure but had to settle for an Admiral Ackbar 3 3/4 rubber eraser (which was pretty damn cool in it's own right). Now ,I finally have my very own ,highly articulated Admiral Ackbar figure! This Black Series 3 3/4 Admiral Ackbar figure has jettisoned to the top of my favorites list!It's a damn near flawless figure.From the paint apps to the head sculpt and execution of his smock ,just an excellent figure. I'm not so sure how to work his contraption,though.I'm pretty sure I have him holding It upside down. "How do you work this thing?"  "Oh yeah,and..what Is It?" I don't remember ever seeing the Admiral In action.Like I said before ,my memory of him Is solely behind the ships terminal.Never wielding a...

With the 3 3/4 Black Series SW figures going on clearance this past week,I had to snag some up.Captain Phasma was a figure I really liked the look of,but didn't really need. I'm only trying to collect the figures based on the older films.I just had to make an exception for Phasma,though.First of all ,Wal Mart was practically throwing these figures at the customer,displaying them on the end caps as well as In the aisles.The last three I really wanted from this line was Kyloren,Captain Phasma and Admiral Ackbar. I got the last two but Kylo was no where to be found :(     Can you believe I still haven't seen any of the new Star Wars movies?In fact I couldn't even tell you the titles.I'm so out of the loop It Isn't even funny.I will catch them on DVD at some point or just wait until they hit  Netflix or Hulu.I have seen tons of trailers,though,and Phasma here has been the subject of many rant videos.First off,Captain Phasma Is a strong  female character ,but ...

I found Admiral Ackbar ,only 2 were left!Captain Phasma Is a little bit out of my jurisdiction as far as figures that I actually need but I just love the way she looks.That design and color scheme  Is killer !I can't stress It enough.Get out there and snag these figures up.At 5 bucks a piece you can't lose.

Lando was always one of my favorites In the Star Wars films.I can remember ,as a kid ,owning a Kenner Jabbas Palace/Skiff Guard   Lando with removable helmet.I didn't have many Star Wars figures as a kid so my skiff guard Lando got to go on lots of solo missions.This one here Is the Cloud City version and I love It just the same!No helmet and minimum weapons (1 pistol)  but still a damn good figure.Soft goods Is always a plus in my book and these contemporary Star Wars figures don't disappoint In that department. Man,just a sweet figure! I think Kenner's head sculpt Is more accurate as far  as the character likeness goes.Which reminds me,If anybody has a spare Kenner skiff guard helmet laying around,let me know!  Here's where my modern Star Wars collection stands today.Only 12 deep but still growing.Obi Wan and Princess Leia figures are next on my list.

I was happy to find these figures marked all the way down to 5 bucks and some change from their original 13 dollar price tag.I've already got a battle at Hoth   Luke in his X-Wing uniform and a Power of the Force Bespin Luke which was basically a place holder until I could come across a better,more articulated  version.This Luke I really like although I'm just realizing that this Is not the Luke/Vader final battle version.He's not wearing his glove.I believe this Is the Luke that confronts Jabba because of the robe he's wearing.If anybody has anymore info I'd greatly appreciate It. I've watched the films a ton but I'm not one of those line for line,scene for scene fanatics. I really like him In his robe,though. One odd thing about this figure,and I think It's been covered before In past reviews,Is the loss or lack of paint on the tips of his boots.I'm not sure If It's supposed to be wear  or just a figure flaw.I could always touch It up...

Not sure If you guys know  but Wal-Mart has a sale on all Star Wars Black Series 3 3/4" figures!I picked up this First Order Stormtrooper for  $5.41 a couple  days back.My Wal Mart had them all at $5.41,your store may differ.This Is a good time to snag up some fillers for your 3 3/4" SW collection.
