My Walking Dead Display!

Image
What's up, people! I was originally going to go over my newly gifted Walking Dead figures, individually as I cracked them open, but ended up unpackiging most of them and putting them on display. There's so much to love about these figures. The detail, paint and awesome accessories are enough to keep you busy snapping photographs and recreating your favorite WD scenes. Below are some shots of the new display. Big Shout out to GI Jigsaw👍 love this Shane figure! Not very poseable but looks so damn sick on display! This Negan fig is so bad ass🔥🔥🔥 Sorry I didn't go too in depth with each figure but if you guys have any questions on any of the figures pictured above, I'd be happy to answer them😉

The Walking Dead - Pin Cushion Zombie ( Comic Series)

Image
Where to begin! There was so much greatness in that last box of Walking Dead figures that I probably won't be getting around to reviewing all of them. Instead, I'm just going to go over the ones that really caught my attention, even though every last one of these figures rock! Today we look at the comic series Pin Cushion Zombie!  I just couldn't wait to go to town with this one. After looking at all of the holes in this figures body and all of the bloodied  accessories, I knew what had to be done! Amazing aesthetics! Love the detail on this figure. Placing each weapon into the body of the zombie was, strangely, very pleasing😂 I love how the sword goes right through to the other side. Once again, a huge shout out to GIjigsaw for the figures🙏 Much, much more to come!

So, This Just Happened...AGAIN!

Sorry about the lack of posts. I've been trying to keep myself busy with everything that's been going on, helping out family members while simultaneously keeping myself sane creating music and excersing whenever possible. Lately it's been pretty clear outside without any snowfall so I've been able to get a few bike rides in . Todays bike ride was a particularly special one ,though. As I approached my garage to stash the old mountain bike, I came across this.... Another care package from fellow blogger, Goerge AKA GIjigsaw! I immediately hopped on my phone to drop him a thank you email because..dang.. just look at this..! I'll be going through these and posting about them individually within the next couple of days. There's so much WD goodness here! So, this is what my Walking Dead display looks like today.  These shelves will look significantly different in the days ahead😉 Many thanks Jigs!

The Walking Dead - Abraham and Daryl

Image
I'm making this a double post as most of you have probably been itching to see that Daryl w/ chopper set! So we'll start things off with the comic book version of Abraham. Seeing this figure makes me want to pick up some of the comics even more, now. A great looking design and he kind of reminds me of Outback from GI Joe. In fact, this probably what Outback would have looked like in the Renegades series that got cancelled a while back.  So badass! This figure/ vehicle combo will go down as one of my top 5 favs! Let's look at Daryl first!  So much detail! The pic doesn't do it justice. You really have to hold these figures in hand and look them over to find little things like stitching, rips and other small markings exclusive to the character the figure is portraying. The gang's all here!  Daryl w/ chopper! Wow! J...

The Walking Dead - Michonne w/ Pet Walkers

Image
I have to admit to missing alot of this story arc. I'll have to go back and refresh , but that doesn't take away from the absolute  awesomeness of these figures and how they look on display. Michonne was another character that took a little time for me to warm up to but  that changed after seeing her softer side with Carl. I liked that dynamic. The one thing I would have liked to see with her figure is a little more poseabilty. I mean, she's got the articulation but it's kind of tight in certain areas and I'm afraid to force it for fear of something popping off. Aside from that, just an amazing sculpt and incredibly detailed figure. It's kind of wierd but I really like the boot/shoe  sculpts  on alot of the WD figures. I'm thinking this is a trend with McFarlane as his line of sport themed figures all had their own sneaker brands. I can't remember If they were branded officially but I do know they were all unique to the player. Enjoy the pics! ...

The Walking Dead - Autopsy Zombie

Image
One of the cool things Walking Dead creators managed to do in their series is to add a little personality to their Zombie characters. It gave credence to the dead walkers and individualized what might have been just another generic Zombie horde. Much like this autopsy Zombie figure. Dressed in his work threads, you can get a feeling of what he may have been doing before turning. Less articulation seems to be a running theme with alot of the zombie figures in this line and understandably so. They aren't ninja or special force commandos. Zombies pretty much just drag ass across the television screen as the unturned either run away or chop into them. So I'm cool with the limited articulation. Enjoy the pics! Next time...

The Walking Dead - Merle Dixon

Image
Merle Dixon. This was a character I really wanted to like and hoped that at some point he'd turn the corner and join Rick and the others. It never happened and the end result was Merle ultimately turning into a walker. He was still pretty badass, cutting off his own arm to free himself from captivity. This figure kicks ass. I'm getting a kick out of the accessories that come with these WD figures. They are very detailed, much like the figure sculpts. Enjoy the pics!  Next time...
