More Marchon Goodness!

Image
I can't say enough about these Rambo knock off's!I just love them!A while back we looked at Rizzo from the Marchon M-Force line of 6 inch military figures.Today we look at Mean Jo Ling and Rizzo?Yeah ,I guess this guys name Is Rizzo ,too, according to what I was able to dig up online.Aside from the same color hair ,the faces are  totally different. I love the chunkiness to these figures. They're a handful of rugged, durable plastic with 5 points of solid articulation. If there was ever a group of military men that could bring John Rambo back dead or alive ,It would be these three right here! Looks like Rambo's gonna need some backup!                                                 Three on three, now that's more like It! No guns ,knives or weapons. Rizzo vs. Rambo, hand to hand combat!

My Favorite 5 Figures,Right Now

I haven't done one of these In a while so here It goes, another "My Favorite 5" post!    This Is my go to Black Panther figure.I only have one other one but this one here Is my favorite. Not so much because of the movie ,In fact I could easily disassociate this design from the film and It would still be great! Again, pretty much the same as above with this figure.Homecoming Spider-Man Is a great figure on It's own, film aside.Great color combination with the black outlines throughout.I love the head sculpt on this one! Something about the soft colors on this Lando Calrissian figure that make It really stand out to me.Only  Billy D can rock pastel and get away with it.Soft goods and great articulation.Just a dope figure overall. There's something about this figure that screams "PLAY WITH ME!" It's chunky, durable  and oozing with an 80's Rambo vibe!If I could be 10 again, for one day,I'd grab this guy right here and run out t...

Marchon M-Force - Rizzo

Image
A while back I posted about a figure made by a toy company called  Mel Appel .These  were pretty much clones of  a 1986 line of larger scaled military figures made by Marchon called M-Force.At that time I though the Mel Apple figures were just spin offs with a different name.I was wrong. They were not only smaller In scale ,but cheaper In quality. The legs and arms were made out of a cheaper ,softer plastic than the torso and head sculpt .I liked It but always longed to own the real deal,  Marchon  M-Force figure!I had a couple of  them as a kid ,using them as a supporting cast to brand named Rambo figures.I was able to find one ,incomplete, with bandoleer ,utility belt ,green beret and dog tags.In really good shape and most importantly, cheap!Say hello to Rizzo! As you can see,the Mel Appel figure Is alot shorter and shittier looking.Luckily the weapons and accessories are fully interchangeable!I was able to attach the Mel Apple figure's gun holster ...

Desert Dogs Sound Fx.

Image
As a kid,did you ever find yourself in need of a quick action figure fix?Maybe you were on vacation with your parents when you realize that your new surroundings would make for some interesting action figure episodes.Or was It that  long car ride when the boredom got so out of hand that   rest areas were designated ,not for peeing, but for action figure hunting? You would never be so lucky as to find anything you were truly interested in,either.Never a Joe in sight or a MOTU figure within reach.  Just something passable enough to get you through your toy withdrawals, like this Desert Dogs sound fx generic military action figure. Now before you go calling this guy  Mel Appel ,understand that this is just the name of the company that makes these figures. In fact ,these guys are all nameless.A blank slate. But that was the cool part !They could be anybody you wanted them to be!     These guys also came with an arsenal and a cool sound effects feature!Sa...
