2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

  #4 MOTU Origins just hits different. The combination of character variety, figure accessories, customizability, different property tie-ins and price point makes the line pretty tough to compete with. Hasbro may still have the upper hand numbers wise but I've been having more fun with Mattel's seemingly infinite universe of MOTU action figures. Fave Factor: The pics say it all. Just look at this guy! Vypor is the man! Snake-Man, that is. One of my favorite things about this figure is the neck and head sculpt. You can get them into some really cool poses if you manipulate them the right way. The chain draping over the armor looks great and can be removed and used as a weapon which is good seeing as how he only came with one bone-staff accessory.  Vypor is overall a great action figure and an easy choice for #4 on my top 10 of 2025 list.

Lets start with the name, because it's all in the name. Lord Gr'asp! You have to be pretty important to be appointed "Lord" of anything. Of all the cool Snake Men monikers, Lord Gr'asp's is my faves. MOTU art never gets old! I need to see these iterations of Snake men in an animated series. Throw in some Sun-Man cameos and i'll be a happy man. Also, who's the guy in the left hand corner? Is that Clamp- Champ? What I like the most about this figure is the color scheme. There's an unhealthy shortage of black and yellow action figures out there and its concerning. Comment below If you can think of any .  There aren't many flaws with this figure. If I had to nitpick it would probably be the little action lever on Lord Gr'asps's claw. It's the same as Clawful's. I was never a fan of visible action feature levers on figures. Lines like Flash Gordon DOTE and Marvel Toy biz 4" figures...

Much like Vypor, Reptilax is a stand alone character and according to the mini comic, not very trustworthy. Reptilax is the bruiser in the Snake Men clan. You know, the guy they send to your house to collect. That kind of personality trait fits this characters design perfectly. The studded web gear, battle axe, sword and shield together work nicely and succeed in giving Reptilax a menacing look.   That head sculpt with tounge sticking out is outstanding! The lack of paint apps on these figures is par for the course. But even that doesn't take away from the overall appearance.  Look at that tail! I'm collecting MOTU Origins heavy at the moment. But as much as I love the O.G. figures, right now I'm transfixed on all of the great side factions. My recent deep dive into the Sun-Man line of figures has segued into an unhealthy obsession with... the Snake Men!  There ain't much that I can say about this product that the pics don't already convey. Vypor is a great action figure! The living embodiment of Vyper Tower, Vypor is a stand alone character in the Rise of the Snake Men mythos and comes off as somewhat of a lackey in the mini comic.  I love everything about this figure, from  the articulated neck and head sculpt down to the metal chain link accessory that adorns Vypor's armor.  Vypor towers over He-Man! It's nice to have a larger sized MOTU figure as most are in the same scale. It also feels like you're getting more for your money....
