Funko POP! Fig# 5,6,7 and 8

Image
MOTU may have been the first cartoon to spur on my love for action figures but it was GI Joe and Transformers that captured my childhood heart.

Funko Pop! GI Joe/ Transformers Lunch Box

Image
I picked this up mainly for the lunch box as It gives me mad 80s elementary school vibes! The goodies included within were a major plus! Check out the pics!

Polaroid Sun 600

Image
Looking through my parents old closet of miscellaneous items, I came across a vintage Polaroid camera! I wasn't even aware that they still make these today, well repros anyways. So eventually I'll have to pick up some film to snap some pics of my action figures the old fashioned way. For now I thought the camera would look nice displayed next to some G1 Transformers!

G1 Prime! (Well,Sorta)

Image
You guys don't know how long I've had this figure In my sights. It's been on my Ebay watch list for months ,multiple times. Everytime I see It on Wal Mart shelves I smh at the $50 price tag.I almost took the plunge on the knock off from China but I was afraid of something going wrong during shipping. Finally, one of the Prime's In my watch list dropped to an even $30 and I bought It for myself as an early birthday gift to me :) That boxart Is downright hypnotizing! You can't help but feel like a kid again when cracking open these reissues! Now,I'm no vintage Transformers aficionado, but according to You tubers that are, these Prime reissues are far from being exact replicas.Well, for one It comes without the trailer. The colors are also a little brighter and the fists are a bit smaller than the originals. Here's Prime without the stickers. I gotta tell ya,my decal game Is way off these days.At certain points It felt like I was disarming an I.E.D. S...

Powerglide,Transformed Correctly

Image
When you get old,you forget how to do stuff, like ride a bike, use a smart phone ,oh and yeah, properly transform your G1 Transformers.I was wondering why my Powerglide looked so bland In my post the other day.It turns out he was standing backwards.I didn't realize his head spins, making his front side a little cooler to look at.I'm such a dumb-dumb! FAIL

Transformers G1 - Powerglide

Image
Another one off my want list.Man,Powerglide! Is he not the ugliest yet coolest thing ever!I love how Hasbro got away with making these hideous renditions of  Transformers characters. The thing with us ,though,as kids ,we had a greater imagination than most kids do  nowadays. If It remotely looked like our favorite cartoon characters ,It was cool.I remember walking into a local mini mart as a kid with my older sister and seeing Powerglide on the pegs. My sister caught me eyeballing It and bought It for me!I liked the figure but don't remember playing with It much ,probably because I didn't have many TF figs.I had this one,Warpath,Beachcomber ,a couple of Insecticons and Thundercracker. And not all at the same time either.I could never afford the bigger figures. Some things never change I guess, lol.Still,I love having this figure again.

Transformers ROTF Power Bots -Optimus Prime

Image
This was another toy acquired In that small hand me down haul I received a couple of weeks ago.I donated alot of the other stuff but decided this was a keeper.Even though It doesn't transform,It's  much larger than my voyager Optimus and displays well with 3 3/4 figures. There's a handle on the back which allows for easy play when Optimus Is In flight mode.It works really well and Is a lot of fun ,actually, flinging him around with the flight sounds activated. Below are a couple of pics that convey the actual scale of this figure. He's about the height of a Marvel Titans figure but has a ways to go to catch up to Lanard's King Kong figure.                            I love the face sculpt ,especially when the eyes light up blue!Check out the                                        ...

Small Collection Of Transformers:Rescue Bots

Image
These little fellas are pretty dope!I've actually seen some of the series (not in depth but briefly) and liked it.I may have to revisit It at some point.I'll go over the Dino - bot and figures  a little more    later on this month.

IDW Revolution

I think the last time I bought a comic book ,a contemporary comic book with some sort of relevancy,Ronald Reagan  was president.I came close to picking up the new Secret Wars series that released in 2015.Oh ,and the new DC 52 stuff ,too. But I never pulled the trigger on either.I had been out of the loop for so long.Couple that with the 4 dollar price tag per comic and the only thing they got out of me was a disinterested "Nah,I'll pass." Now,recently I had been hearing talk about a merger of popular 80's toy franchises ,coming together for a big screen debut.MASK,G.I. Joe ,Transformers,Micronauts, ROM and I believe Visionaries made the cut as well. This literally blew the drawers off  of me!This Is something I have been wanting to happen since I began collecting action figures. In fact one of the reasons why I started to collect 3 3/4 was because so many different lines/characters were available ,and I would be able to mix and match my figures like never before!I have a...

Transformers G1 (re-issue) - Autobot Jazz

Image
I'm ready to start going over some of the goods from that Bro Midnight trade package over these next couple of days ,in no particular order. Some of those figures have grown on me more than others ,like this G1 re-issue of Jazz! I've been wanting a G1 styled Transformer in my collection for a long time now.I've always had my sights set on the more affordable mini cons ,never going after the larger and more expensive Transformer figures.Which Is why I'm so damn psyched to own this Jazz figure. It's not the original, vintage release but It's a damn near perfect copy of It. Remember when Transformers were simple?I miss that about this particular line of figures. It made transforming them a snap.Transformers of today are chock-full of joints and articulation. That might be gravy  for the average collectors who want to display their figures In  cool battle poses, but maybe not so much  for the kid who would prefer to transform his Autobot on the fly and In less than a...

Keepin' It Transformers,Yo!

Image
Before I get to the last two mystery figures that arrived recently In a trade I completed with Orniphus ,lets go over this gem of an extra!Orniphus was kind enough to throw this Transformers Robots In Disguise Grimlock figure in with the rest of the agreed figures ,and I'm really digging It.He must have read my post on the  smaller Grimlock that I picked up a while back. I was pretty disappointed with that one ,so Orniphus really looked out here !Now,I've read some reviews and seen some videos on Grims here,  and the figure gets mixed reactions.I for one am not big on the Robots In Disguise series or line of figures ,but this one I love.I believe this Is a deluxe sized figure ,but In no way does he fit into scale with others In his same size class.I didn't catch It at first, but Orniphus pointed out to me that this version would actually look better next to my Generations Optimus and smaller scaled TF's in my collection. And,to coin the great Ned Flanders "Hey-Diddly...
