It must have been summer of 1989  when I picked this one up, as a 12 year old, while visiting my moms side of the family In Manhattan,NY. I remember It clearly. My mom, sister and I walking through a crowded Delancey St. In search of a clothing store for my sister.Me?I didn't want no stinkin' clothes.I wanted comics! And It turns out magazine news stands outnumbered clothing stores 20 to 1 on that particular strip so I got to get my shopping on first!I can remember my sister throwing a fit about It,calling me a spoiled brat under her breath ,lol! She was right, though ;) As we crossed the busy street, approaching  the newsstand ,I could see It!There It was!A first issue Punisher mag with issues 2 and 3 right behind It!I scooped up all three along with a few other miscellaneous titles.    The amount of nostalgia swirling around my head right now , as I type this , Is off the charts!Punisher War Journal was one of my most immersive comic book experiences.Ever! An expe...

In the 80's ,X-Men Classic,or Classic X-Men ,whichever one you prefer, were a great series of comic books. As a kid I had a few stragglers ,you know ,late issues In my collection but I could never find that elusive number 1.So when Jim Lee dropped X-Men #1, In 1991 , I was all In.I was finally going to be  able to follow an X-Men story arc from the very beginning!Ya see, comic books was our Netflix.Only we had to wait a full month before we could get our hands on the next episode. And even after that month long wait,It wasn't a sure thing that your local comic shop would have any In stock.Still, there was nothing more exhilarating than walking into a  shop and finding that new release!Right away, X- Men became life.I had other comics In my collection.West Coast Avengers,Captain America,Spider-Man but nothing ever came close to my collection of  Jim Lee X-Men comic books.Today,I am one step closer to obtaining all of the Jim Lee X-Men comics I had as a kid. There's lots more to...

Marvel Universe - Psylocke

During my childhood comic book phase,Jim Lee's  X-Men was  prevalent In my collection.Man,I loved that series of books.I must admit, the women of X-Men were some of my first comic book crushes.Nobody drew Jean Grey and Psylocke better than Jim Lee.I was never huge on other female comic book characters. She -Hulk ,Invisible Woman,Tigra ,they were cool but  nothing like Rogue,Storm,Psylocke and Jean Grey. There was this extra toughness about them. That Jim  Lee era was my favorite ,period. This, however,Is not a Jim Lee inspired Psylocke figure.Even so,It's still a pretty amazing sculpt. Here's what my current X-Men team looks like.
