Calling All DC Aficionados!

Image
I recently received a large amount of hand me down toys ,mostly DC with some Imaginext stuff .I donated alot of it but kept a few things.I've stated before how I wasn't the biggest DC fan nor their 3 3/4 figures. Most are pretty difficult to stand up and are in played with shape.I know the ones In the front are Young Justice figs but have no clue where the six inch Aquaman and Cyborg come from. They're not even  marked/stamped with a date or brand.I'm assuming Mattel, though.  The Batman Beyond figure along with the Aquaman and Nightwing seem to be from the 90's but  they don't have a date stamp either.

M.A.S.K. - Matt Tracker/Miles Mayhem

It felt nice to add a M.A.S.K. folder to my collection of blog pics. Finally, I have something from the iconic 80's cartoon series to display In my retro collection.Whenever I'd see these figures on eBay I would hold out In  hopes of coming across some In the wild or by way of trade. The wait paid off ,somewhat , as I was able to find both Matt Tracker and Miles Mayhem (one of, If not the best  80's villain names ,ever) for under 10 bucks.Mayhem went for 6 bucks and Matt Tracker was only 3 !It sucks that I wasn't able to find them complete with helmets.I would have paid extra for them.Still,It's nice to have some M.A.S.K. on the shelves.

Son of Zorn - Zorn (Funko)

Image
I said I had had It with the influx of Funko but when I first laid eyes on this figure In the movie/media section of my Target ,It left an impression. So much so that I had to go back for It .Son of Zorn was a Roger Rabbit like series that lasted only one season before being cancelled. The show  starred Zorn ,a barbarian who moves to Orange County California to reconnect with Ex-Wife and son. I've only caught snippets of It on Hulu. Hopefully they will release the whole season at some point. Collect all two! lol! Funko borrows from older styled Remco action figures for their Zorn design and totally pulled It off.I ,honestly , can't say a bad thing about this action figure.Everything on It has been executed pretty much flawlessly.Like I've stated in the past,I like going after figures that appeal to the kid In me.Zorn would have immediately been moved to the top of my action figure ranks. He's that bad ass.And that sword..! Zorn sports 6 points of articu

Sometimes,One Must Venture Out

Saturday morning was quite the nostalgic one.I caught some Heathcliff on Pluto TV (If you have the Fire Stick, definitely download the Pluto app) and  got an early start on yard work and other daily doings. The chill In the air reminded me of childhood autumn days spent playing  outdoors with your friends .Fall's initial batch of downed  leaves rustling brought back memories   of  playing touch football in the street and  the tall grass reminded me to snap the hell out of it and get to mowing my lawn. Really, just a great morning overall. So great that I decided to make It even greater by venturing out into wild to do some toy hunting.Stops included a local comic shop, baseball card hobby shop and Target. The comic shop was a bust but the card shop had a ton of  cool stuff, just a bit overpriced.I managed to come away with Matt Tracker and Miles Mayhem.Target had a bunch of overpriced Legends 3 3/4 figures and ninja turtles that had been peg warming for so long, they were now senior citize
