2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

I've always been a fan of this look for Captain America, even If Steve Roger's only donned it a few times before passing it on to John Walker. U.S. Agents stint was brief but this was a must add for my West Coast Avengers team. On a side note - I feel myself slipping deeper into the rabbit hole that is Marvel Legends. I'm sure once I'm done completing my WCA team, more figures will follow.  Also, right now I'm sitting on a stack of action figures (Legends, Classified) that need to be unboxed, played with and photographed so stay tuned! 

  Just picked these guys up while out doing some grocery shopping. Hasbro's continuation of the Epic Heroes line gives us single carded versions of Sam Wilson as Captain America,  Thanos and Hulk. Loose pics forthcoming. 

Taking another break from the world of  Funko POP! , here's a line I've been contemplating getting into for a while now. I finally pulled the trigger on a couple of the two packs and I think I'll be picking up more. These little figures might have a Lego vibe to them but they are far from. They stand taller and have way more mobility. Every figure comes with their own stand, unique to their ability. Characters like Captain America, Iron Man and Daredevil can also remove their cowl/helmet to reveal their secret identity. Extra sets of hands, heads and little accessories make these figures a blast to unpack and play with. Their pose-abilty also allows for some really cool pics! The box-art is bright and even though we all pretty much know their background stories, there is a brief bio for each character on the back. Diamond Select always adds little panflips and advertisements to their product and I really like that. More toy companies should follow suit. In conclusion,  Marv...

It's kind of embarrassing that I'm so late to the Funko craze. I'm pretty sure toy bloggers every where have posted about these in the past and I probably bypassed it. At the height of Funko popularity I was strictly collecting 3.75 figures. Nothing more. In fact I can remember certain posts in which I criticized the Funko brand because of how ubiquitous it had become. They were everywhere! It took  me a while but as of late ive been able to appreciate the cool deco possibilities of not only the POP! figures and lunchboxes but these vinyl soda cans, too!  Here's what you get! A  pog with a cool  headshot and a well made rubber/pvc figure!   These days, Funko is just what the doctor ordered and It's been a fun change of pace from my normal collecting habits. Stay tuned for my recent POP! figure pick ups! 

If you haven't been over to  GIJigsaw's  site to check out his awesome custom action figure artwork, I suggest you do so. Recently Jigs put the word out and gave readers of his site the chance to pick out 4 characters from any action figure line to be immortalized on canvas and I chose a few Mattel Marvel Secret Wars classics!  Jigs even added the lightning bolt to the deep blue background, staying true to the vintage card art!  The colors used match the figures perfectly! Even Dr. Doom got the metallic silver treatment. Black suit Spidey!!! I'm really digging these and appreciate the "First Four" freebie deal! Jigs completely knocked it out of the park and It's cool to know that I have the first series of Mattel Marvel Secret Wars figure paintings!
