The Batman - The Penguin

I kind of got sucked into picking up this line when seeing all the hype and propaganda out in the wild. I'm a sucker for newly released superhero figures based on movies. DC Spinmaster's line of "The Batman" figures  aren't much different than it's predecessor DC line. The only difference is in the face sculpts. Seeing as how they are based on real life actors, Batman, Catwoman and the rest of the cast look like their real life counterparts. The great thing is that you should be able to find them easily at your local Walmart and Target department stores on endcaps and out in the center aisles. They are everywhere. Today we take a look at The Penguin!  I'm enjoying this figure more than I thought I would. I haven't seen the film yet so I'm wondering if something happens to The Penguins face, causing his nose to look like...well like a penguin's. This head sculpt  looks pretty normal.  I...

The Batman - Wingsuit Batman ( DC Spinmaster)

This figure brought me back, looking at it on the pegs with Batman's arms outstretched with cape attached. It brought back memories of Silverhawks and Kenner's Batman  line of figures. Upon opening the figure, I realized there wasn't an arm raising  action feature. Just the glider shaped cape with clips that connect to the figures wrists and legs. I still dig the figure but wish, in the name of nostalgia, Spinmaster would have added an action feature.

The Batman - Selina Kyle (DC Spinmaster)

After picking up the battle damaged version, I knew I'd like to eventually add the standard version of The Batman's Selina Kyle. These single carded figures come with three weapons and a mystery evidence card.

I was happy to find these in the wild today while doing a little shopping with my brother. Looking forward to cracking these open.

I've been a fan of DC Spinmaster ever since they started releasing 4"  figures so I'm glad they've also taken on the task of making a line of figures based on The Batman! I'm looking forward to the rest of the sets, especially the Lt. Gordon with police car.

The Batman - Selina Kyle Chase (Movie Figures)

What drew me into this set was the Selina Kyle (Catwoman) figure. I didn't even know it was zoe Kravitz playing the role but now I like the figure even more knowing she's in the film. The Batman figure is o.k. , nothing to write home about. If you have any DC Spinmaster 4" figures then you should know what to expect with this one. Same type of sculpt and articulation. Of course you also get the flimsy, paper cape. The motorcycle, while nice looking, is very cheaply made. It almost feels like a hollow, Dollar Tree vehicle. I think what I like about this set the most is the motorcycle helmet! It's fully functional, fits Selina Kyle perfectly and just looks bad ass! The sculpts are cool on both figures although  I wasn't sure if the brown/ gold accents on both her and Batman were some kind of tech or just mud stains. I'm still not 100 percent positive. This set  is a fun open but nothing beyond that. It, along with the Batmobile set can be found at Walmart on displ...
