My Top 10 From 2025 #1

#1 Sun-Man and the Rulers of the Sun Is a toy line created in 1985 by Yla Eason (Olmec Toys) to diversify the action figure aisles after her son stated that he could never be He-Man because he was African American. In 2022 Mattel reissued the Sun-Man line of figures in single, deluxe and 3 packs.  Fave Factor: I haven't had this much fun with an action figure line since I went on that DC Spin Master binge a few years back. With the Sun-Man ROTS line, you either hated it or loved it. I think it's quite obvious what side of the fence I sit on. Aesthetics, Play-ability, and more importantly price have a lot to do with that. I had a blast posing and playing with these guys. Reused head sculpts, over the top accessories and colors give them a bootleggish feel, but I think that's what I love about them the most and what most like about them the least. I think Holographo's lenticular chest plate is the coolest! Yes, Zap-Man's mini tower arm bands look ...

#2 It's no mystery that Legends has been killing it with their super popular line of 6 inch Marvel action figures. I've been able to resist the urge, opting to cherry pick figures and sets here and there.  Fave Factor: Marvel Legends Gamerverse Punisher/Nick Fury embodies everything I love about the characters and the 16 bit Sega Genesis video game. Besides two really great action figures you're getting a crap-load of weapons an explosion effect, alternate hands, cash filled suitcase plus a cool 16 bit backdrop. These are also my favorite Punisher head sculpts to date.

#3 Coming in at number 3 we have two 2025 pick ups that literally brightened things up here on 2 Minute Toy Break. I had been in a bit of a toy funk when these guys showed up in my eBay MOTU Origins search at a very good price for the pair. I snagged them up, they arrived and greatness ensued! Fave Factor: For me it's mostly about the colors with these guys. The colorful combinations of greens, yellows, reds, pinks and smokey blues give Sun-Man and Pig-Head an aesthetic edge over the competition. They don't just pop on display, they shine brilliantly!

#4 MOTU Origins just hits different. The combination of character variety, figure accessories, customizability, different property tie-ins and price point makes the line pretty tough to compete with. Hasbro may still have the upper hand numbers wise but I've been having more fun with Mattel's seemingly infinite universe of MOTU action figures. Fave Factor: The pics say it all. Just look at this guy! Vypor is the man! Snake-Man, that is. One of my favorite things about this figure is the neck and head sculpt. You can get them into some really cool poses if you manipulate them the right way. The chain draping over the armor looks great and can be removed and used as a weapon which is good seeing as how he only came with one bone-staff accessory.  Vypor is overall a great action figure and an easy choice for #4 on my top 10 of 2025 list.

#5 As much as I liked my CT Toys Wolverine figure, CT Toys Spidey edged him out for the number 5 spot. It's nice to have a Spider-Man figure that you can actually put into Spider-Man poses.  Fave Factor: Remember, what I consider to be a top 10 figure goes beyond aesthetics. It has to be a fun figure, overall. Fun to pose, fun to photograph and of course fun to look at. This CT Toys Spider-Man figure checks all the boxes.
