Marvel Select Display Set Ups (Part 2)

The Danger Room display was cool but when you look at It ,you know It's the Danger Room.Only X-Men figs would make sense In that setting.This display ,on the other hand,can be used for pretty much any style of action figure.Modern figures look great with It......



......but I think I prefer the way the larger ,vintage  figures look.


Rambo Is already a kick ass line  of figures but this display makes them pop even more!


This display  even makes knock off 80's military figs look bad ass !


B.A. Is about to walk In on an illegal chop shop (is that redundant?) operation!


90's Marvel Superheroes figures pop on their own,no display needed,but they look good displayed here.



Incorporating figures around the back of the display Is something I should have done more In the above pics.The open area on the door can be a nice place to display extra figures seeing as how the front Is a little limited ,space wise. I'm really liking the way vintage Turtles look here.In fact It's probably what I'll be using this display for.


Well,that wraps things up here.Hopefully I've given some of you an idea or two on how to use  Marvel Select displays with something other than Marvel Select figures.For those of you who dabble In Styrofoam dios,these might also make for some good templates.I'm already entertaining the thought ;)

      They're 2nd to G.I. Joe on my favorite military figures list.They were big and chunky action figures with an arsenal.What more could a kid ask for?!?!

      That pic Is a favorite of mine as well ,Fuji.I wish Playmates would have released more Eastman Laird figs like this.

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

A GI Joe Post That's Not Classified

As much as I love the Classified line of Joe figures, I feel like there's other Joe stuff out there that deserve a little bit of that spotlight.   Pictured are two custom cardback figure protectors and four Diamond Select 💎  GI Joe figures.   I'd been looking for a way to protect my stashed 3.75  o-ring Joe's when I came across these online. I picked up William Perry's and Snake Eyes protectors and will be adding more as they are made available.   These are unpunched, clean and professional looking cardbacks that feature vintage artwork  on the front and file card on the back.  Diamond Select just doesn't get the props they deserve in my opinion. As much as I dig  their Marvel Minimates line, these Joe Minimates are equally cool! I'm not even sure I want to open these guys up. I mean I want to, but would hate to.

Pop Culture League Assignment - Shelfie

I remember The League of Extraordinary Bloggers back In the day, never partook In any of the festivities, though. This time around, especially with state of  the blogosphere , I feel I need to participate a little more to see If we can breathe life back into toy blogging! So , a big thank you to Brian over at Cool and Collected  for  bringing the League back. Here's my  introductory league assignment post. Very simple ,snap a pic of two of your very favorite shelves. I chose the two shelves hat display all of my vintage . It only recently wrapped around to the bottom shelf with the addition of  a couple of Swamp Thing figures I received from Brother Midnight In a recent trade. I'm hoping to fill out the bottom shelf over the coarse of the winter.
