2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

Lately I've been finding some really great deals on Marvel Universe figures . I've been wanting this Punisher figure forever and finally found one for $8 and some change  ,brand new In packaging.It's gonna be a long time before another one gets listed at that low price as most sell for about $30 bucks on eBay. I was a happy camper and couldn't wait for the figure to arrive. And here It is... You're probably thinking this Is the perfect Punisher figure , much like I was . He comes with a great assortment of weapons ,has a great head sculpt and comes with a crappy little comic shot. The problems began once I got him out of the packaging.  You can't tell from the pic but I actually had to cut the right leg strap around the back In order to properly pose his leg. And then ,as I was posing the figure ,the leg fell off completely . It's a terrible quality control issue that should have been remedied before release. What a fucking damper ...

When you say the name G.I. Joe or even Cobra for that matter,Major Bludd hardly ever comes to mind. At least not these days ,anyways. It's all about Destro , Cobra Commander and the infamous Cobra ninja Storm Shadow. No love for Bludd,tho :( And he was such a cool character ! That menacing fu manchu mustache and the eye patch ! And lest we forget the dog tags , that  cool looking blaster and robotic arm! Major Bludd was so bad ass he didn't even sport a  Cobra faction insignia . Also...MAJOR BLUDD...COOLEST NAME EVER! I know they killed him off In Resolute but I'm not exactly sure where his character stands In the comics . He definitely needs to make a comeback IMO.  Ughh..packing sucks!!!

A couple of quick updates.If the backgrounds of my pics start to look a little different It's due to the fact that my kids have been utilizing the toy room. The toy room Is now the Zoom room ,lol! Also, we are In the process of moving! So most of my stuff has been packed away . I'm still picking up the stray figure here and there ,particularly Marvel Universe figures. It seems that lately ,more and more of the rare figures have been popping up on eBay for insanely low prices. I found this Vision figure for 10 bucks and some change ,shipped!

Slowly but surely , I've been able to add key figures to my Marvel Universe collection by waiting It out. Had I known these figures were going to be so scarce and expensive today  I would have picked them up back when they first released years ago. Like the cliche saying goes " Hindsight is 20/20 ". So ,that aside. Lets move on to the figure! One of the nicer figures In the Marvel Universe  action figure line,Archangel is a series 2 release , numbered 015. I never understood the "Fans Choice Winner!" designation on the left hand corner of the packaging. Was there some kind of an  official pole for collectors to vote on their favorite figures? It felt great to have a carded figure in my hands again . Loose figures are cool but like most collectors will tell you,nothing beats the smell of a new action figure. It's chemically delicious! Hasbro put their all into these first few series of  Marvel Universe figures. Included was a Top Secret fold...

Thanos was never really on my want list. I just thought It would be nice to add him to my growing army of meanies. He was also super cheap as he Is not the most popular version (QC issues). Also, he came sans Infinity Gauntlet . I know. Thanos without his Infinity Gauntlet Is like Wolverine without his claws. Superman without his cape or Multiple Man without himself. Still,he looks rather snazzy on display !

 I still have so many MU figs on my want list . Ultron was one of them. Funny thing Is ,I've wanted this version of Ultron like, forever ,but It wasn't until recently that I realized there was an even more comic book accurate version of him that had been released before this one. In fact ,now that I look at him, I don't remember ever seeing a green glowing Ultron . It's still a great looking figure , but I would have preferred the  comic book accurate version that came In a two pack with Reed Richards.
