2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

With summer on its way out and a new school year coming, I feel a break from blogging is just what the doctor ordered. My kid starts a new school year and I have to put all of my focus on that right now. Once she's a couple of weeks into it and September gets rolling I should be in a better position to start blogging again. Also, health has been a priority. Mental and physical. One way I stay sane in these crazy times, well besides making music and running, is looking forward to things. Right now fall is heavy on the mind. Halloween is right around the corner and so are the  holidays and right now a much needed break from blogging is in order. So even though I'm  gone for now, it won't be  for good 😉 ✌️

I've been having a hard time finding decent backgrounds for action figure pics lately but may have stumbled across a solution at my local Dollar Tree. These textured backsplash panels make for a great backdrop and could even be used as diorama castle walls.  I recommend using 4 panels when photographing 6" figures, especially for wide shots. I only used 2 and found myself having to bunch the figures together to get them all in the frame. Not a bad looking background, though.  I really like this version of Cobra Commander. The soft goods cape and staff reminded me of the 3.75" Pursuit of Cobra figure.  My Classified collection so far! Many thanks to Toy Box for the hook up! Snake Supreme Cobra Commander is an amazing figure and one that I highly recommend 🐍🐍🐍

Snake Supreme. Sounds like a new burrito at Taco Bell. Truth be told, this action figure is way more delicious!  This was like no Cobra Commander action figure I've ever opened before. The box is one big work of art. The front of the interior box looks more like a sarcophagus and  opens up to reveal the figure inside.  Once the figure is removed you are left with a cool diorama of Cobra Commanders throne! Right now, this is what brings me back. It's not even connected to T.V. or anything. It's set out as more of a display piece, but there's something about this X-Men game and box art that evoke pure bliss! It marked the first time we got to play a video game with actual, fleshed out cartoon sprites of our favorite Jim Lee X-Men characters! This and Sports talk Baseball were game changers for me. Loved my Sega Genesis!!! I've been Toy Boxed! It's hard to wrap my head around the levels of generosity put on display by fellow bloggers  GI Jigsaw and Matt from Toy Box. Last week I received a package from GI Jigsaw with Classified Flint and Lady Jaye figures! Yesterday I received a package from Toy Box with this in it.....   I was completely and utterly blown away! Not just by the contents but moreso by the random acts of kindness from bloggers like Jigsaw and Matt. These figures are tremendously difficult to find in the wild and, most of the time, too expensive or limited to purchase online. Many, many  thanks 🙏 

Another Classified figure off the "want- list". Not in the mood to take many pics of the figure loose. So I just added a shot of what my collection looks like right now. It's been exhausting trying to snipe figures here and there on eBay. I'm not paying anything over 30 bucks for them, regardless of how cool the figure is. I just put a couple in my watch list and wait for the price to drop. Thanks to GI Jigsaw and Matt from Toy Box , I had a nice start off point. From there I've been able to add figures like Destro, Zartan and Snake Eyes. The hunt continues but the road is a rocky one.
