Action Figure Of The Day

Crazy how I never associated Swamp Thing with DC. If there was a comic run back when I was a kid I totally overlooked it. Now he's featured in most Justice League cartoon series' . My earliest memories of him were from the live action film released in the early 80s. This figure stems from the Swamp Thing cartoon which, again, I never watched much. I just really liked the different versions of Swamp Thing. Of all the figures that were released, this one was always my favorite.

My first memories of Godzilla stem back to the late 70s movies. But I also enjoyed the crap out of the 80s cartoon series. I used to have the larger Imperial Godzilla  as a kid but I'm just as happy to own this 4 inch version.

Nostalgia Trip!

I believe alot of the guys you see today carrying assault rifles and living off the land , shacked up in the wilderness had to have been inspired by movies like Rambo and Commando. Both were bad ass and let's face it, we all wanted to be that bad ass ! Me? Hell, I have a hard time putting a worm on a fishing hook so as much as I wanted to be like John Matrix, it wasn't in the cards for me. I could only hope to  live vicariously through this action figure as a kid. Great fucking times, tho.

If there's any character in the Marvel cinematic universe that needs a reboot it has to be Wolverine.  No disrespect to Hugh Jackman as he's done a great job playing Wolverine over the years but it never sat well with me. IMO, he's just too tall for the roll. What made Wolverine so bad-ass to begin with was the fact that he was smaller than most all of his opponents. What do you guys think? To reboot or not to reboot?
