CT Toys - Spider-Man (Classic)
CT Toys is heavy on my radar right now. I was pleasantly surprised with Wolverine but this Spider-Man figure has made me a full fledged believer. Included are 5 sets of alternate hands, 1 with magnets (6 in all if you count the ones he comes equipped with), 1 extra set of articulated feet with magnets, 4 web streams and an alternate McFarlane style head sculpt. Oh, and a display stand. I've said in the past how sucky I am at posing action figures. That said, MAFEX/CT figs are great for posing, even if you're not very good at it. It's "kid gloves" with these guys, though, as they are a little gummier than Legends figures. CT Toys Wolvie and Spidey! Here's CT Toys Spidey next to a couple of Marvel Legends Spider-Man figures. The differences are pretty pronoun...

I love Crystal Ball! He's just so crazy! I love the Vincent Price influence on him. Now, to be Honest, he doesn't quite feel like a G.I. Joe figure (even so far as ARAH figures go he's pretty out there) but he's cool mixed in with other oddballs like Raptor.
ReplyDeleteI remember my older sister taking me to buy this figure at my local TRU.I always had the habit of showing whoever It was that took me on the toy run ,not only the figure, but their backstory as well. Almost as If to say "You see, these things are cooler than you think!" Well,my sister made the Vincent Price connection rather quickly, even If I had no clue who he was at the time.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Stephen King for this guy!
ReplyDeleteHad I known this as a kid It would have probably blown my sister's mind ,lol! She was a big fan of his books.
DeleteFreaky looking dude. I remember the kids in the Stephen King novel "The Tommyknockers" talking about their GI Joes.
ReplyDeleteI may have caught scenes here and there of that film but never In it's entirety.
