2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

Before going into my #4 Funko POP! pick, I thought I'd highlight a cool purchase I recently made! Gremlins was another one of those films that stuck with me from my childhood. This one should have been #2 as it released before The Goonies. I'll display them accordingly.  

Shortly after the film E.T. , many other movies would release and capture my attention but none resonated with me more than The Goonies! The Goonies was Stranger Things before Stranger Things was Stranger Things. Who didn't want to be part of that bike riding, crime fighting pretty girl kissing group of amazing kids? And Sloth! I would have loved to have a friend like Sloth, although, my parents would have probably condemned it. In Spanish < Get that ugly thing outta here!> lol. Well, I'm sure they'd have no problem with a mini sized Funko POP! Sloth 🤪 

I realized that there had to be a method to go with my madness If I was gonna start collecting Funko POP! figures. With so many to choose from, I figured I'd chronologically collect them according to pop culture and TV events that influenced me as a kid. Let's start with  POP! figure #1. E.T. is one of the first films that I can remember really being moved by. It left quite an impression on my 7 year old heart and even today I get a lump in my throat whenever I see the  Drew Barrymore scene at the end of the movie.

Nothing like a thirst quenching, ice cold Robocop pop on a hot, 80 degree April day!  I'm having a great time with these Funko Vinyl soda can blind bags. I have to be honest, though. Had it not been for the extra shelving in my kitchen I probably wouldn't give these a second look. Now, they fit right into my kitchen deco! I was surprised to see that the Darth Vader figure is actually a bobblehead. I think they're doing that with the newer POP figures as well. 

It's kind of embarrassing that I'm so late to the Funko craze. I'm pretty sure toy bloggers every where have posted about these in the past and I probably bypassed it. At the height of Funko popularity I was strictly collecting 3.75 figures. Nothing more. In fact I can remember certain posts in which I criticized the Funko brand because of how ubiquitous it had become. They were everywhere! It took  me a while but as of late ive been able to appreciate the cool deco possibilities of not only the POP! figures and lunchboxes but these vinyl soda cans, too!  Here's what you get! A  pog with a cool  headshot and a well made rubber/pvc figure!   These days, Funko is just what the doctor ordered and It's been a fun change of pace from my normal collecting habits. Stay tuned for my recent POP! figure pick ups! 

I've been wanting to add some wrestling figures to my collection for some time but haven't found a consistent line that pays homage to my favorite era, the 80s. While I am not an expert in the wrestling action figure department, It seems like this Ultimate Edition line has a alot of my favs with more figures to be released this summer. Let's take a look at what is  arguably the single  most popular mohawk in pop culture history!  This is an absolute killer figure! Everything from the soft goods down to the included extra hands and head sculpt! Articulation is perfect.  I'm looking forward to adding more from this line but for now Mr.T will be joing the Joe ranks!
