MOTU Movie CORE Figures Mekaneck
I wish I could say that I found this at my local Walmart but such was not the case. More than a month after reports that MOTU movie figures were hitting store shelves, my local Walmart is still devoid of anything He-Man. Until I can find any of these figures in the wild, Amazon will be my go-to.
These figures take me back to a simpler time, when toys were toys. The card front depicts He-Man and Skeletor having a stare contest. Mekaneck adorns the base of the packaging.
Meck was fun to pose and photograph. He won't be on anybodys top 10 list but he still provides good old fashion action figure fun. Also, is it just me or does he give off Joe vibes? He kind of reminds me of Scrap-Iron.
I didn't think I was gonna like the neck extensions but they photograph well. One straight neck accessory would have been cool, too, but I'm good with what we got. I was able to get some decent shots of Meck doing some long neck reconnaissance.
Mekaneck is a little bland on his own but should pop on display with the rest of the CORE line. The verdict? Not bad for a $10 figure!
With prices soaring all over the place, I would have thought this was a $20 action figure. Happy to hear kids and fans of MOTU can still find licensed figures for $10.
ReplyDeleteThat is if they can find them. But even on Amazon you can find them for about $11 to $12 bucks.
DeleteHey yeah, the guy totally gives off Joe vibes. I reckon its the blue jumpsuit. I like the toned down armour on this design. Looks almost realistic!
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any other way to go for a live film version of Mekaneck.
DeleteI have 4 walmarts around me and none of them have them or anything less than 8 months old on the shelves. It almost looks like they are waiting till christmas to stock the toys.
ReplyDeleteI have two nearby, one in the hood that's always barren of anything other than Star Wars, Superman and TMNT. The other is located in a nicer part of town but right down the street from a mom and pop toy dealer. I think we all know what's going on there.
