Nostalgia

Right now, this is what brings me back. It's not even connected to T.V. or anything. It's set out as more of a display piece, but there's something about this X-Men game and box art that evoke pure bliss! It marked the first time we got to play a video game with actual, fleshed out cartoon sprites of our favorite Jim Lee X-Men characters! This and Sports talk Baseball were game changers for me. Loved my Sega Genesis!!!

  1. Dude, that's a sweet game! One of the first I ever owned on the Sega Genesis back in the day!

    1. Before this there was Wolverine on the NES but this game was what every X-Men fan wanted!

    2. I still have the Wolverine game. Terrible.

  2. I have a shelf with some vintage SW action figures. They aren't the ones I actually owned... but they remind me of when I was a kid.

    1. Although I probably spent more hours playing on my NES or PS1... the Sega Genesis is the first console I think of when I think of classic games.

    2. I feel like Sega was always more popular than SNES back in the day. Nintendo had more of a niche following.

  4. I won't say exactly how long it was, but I'm embarrassed to admit that it took me years to figure out that you had to reset the game once you reached that one point before you could continue playing on. I always thought I was missing something, and couldn't believe that resetting it was the solution.

  5. You know, I totally forgot about that until recently, after watching a review on it. That must have driven kids nutsoe back in the day🤪😂 I remember panicking the first time I had to remove disc one and insert disc 2 on my ps1 to continue playing Resident Evil 2, lol!

  6. We had the X-Men game for the NES and we had fun with it, but in all honesty, it's a terrible game. Was a SNES kid growing up along with all my friends except for one. Was always awkward trying to play Genesis games at his house after being so familiar with the SNES controller.

  7. Yes, I remember that one. Top down view with horrible character sprites. Wolverine was far better. I always liked the sound better on Super Nintendo. Clone Wars was dope on the SNES.
