This is my shelf of bad ass! It will be strategically populated by Punisher, Wolverine, Snake Eyes and the occasional Batman figure. Notice the empty space next to Snake Eyes? I've got a Legends figure on the way to remedy that😉 Stay tuned!
Funny you should say that. Right after snapping the pic I posed my SpinMaster Batman next to the Puns and Wolvies and it looked decent. It might just happen 😝
The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends. The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short, our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes. From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits, but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays. The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou...
CT Toys is heavy on my radar right now. I was pleasantly surprised with Wolverine but this Spider-Man figure has made me a full fledged believer. Included are 5 sets of alternate hands, 1 with magnets (6 in all if you count the ones he comes equipped with), 1 extra set of articulated feet with magnets, 4 web streams and an alternate McFarlane style head sculpt. Oh, and a display stand. I've said in the past how sucky I am at posing action figures. That said, MAFEX/CT figs are great for posing, even if you're not very good at it. It's "kid gloves" with these guys, though, as they are a little gummier than Legends figures. CT Toys Wolvie and Spidey! Here's CT Toys Spidey next to a couple of Marvel Legends Spider-Man figures. The differences are pretty pronoun...
I remember The League of Extraordinary Bloggers back In the day, never partook In any of the festivities, though. This time around, especially with state of the blogosphere , I feel I need to participate a little more to see If we can breathe life back into toy blogging! So , a big thank you to Brian over at Cool and Collected for bringing the League back. Here's my introductory league assignment post. Very simple ,snap a pic of two of your very favorite shelves. I chose the two shelves hat display all of my vintage . It only recently wrapped around to the bottom shelf with the addition of a couple of Swamp Thing figures I received from Brother Midnight In a recent trade. I'm hoping to fill out the bottom shelf over the coarse of the winter. So there you have It. Definitely check out Cool and Collected when you get the chance to get your next league assignment......! Check these shelfies out.... Green Plastic S...
Wow they look pretty cool. You need a 4 inch batman though lol (Batman Beyond or Keaton would fit lol.) Just kidding, the display looks great as is!
ReplyDeleteFunny you should say that. Right after snapping the pic I posed my SpinMaster Batman next to the Puns and Wolvies and it looked decent. It might just happen 😝
ReplyDeleteThere was a time in my life where I owned every single Punisher comic book. Those days are long since passed.
ReplyDeleteI had a few but got sidetracked with every other comic that started with the letter X lol.
ReplyDeleteStorm Shadow? Lol. Not even sure if GI Joe has Legends figures... but SS is badass too.
ReplyDeleteHe's got a 6" Gi Joe Classified figure out and while it's pretty cool looking I'd prefer his original version. Or even version 2.
ReplyDeleteYeah... nothing beats the original.
Delete3.75 for the win! Will always be superior to the six inch Classified.
DeleteI agree, wholeheartedly 🙏
Deletethat shelf gonna need extra support to hold all the coolness.
ReplyDeleteLol I agree!
