Resident Evil Woes UPDATE

Image
UPDATE:After receiving three straight defective Resident Evil discs,I finally got one that works! On top of that ,I recently picked up a Ps3 and remembered that I had bought a digital copy of Resident Evil years ago when I owned a PSP !I downloaded It and now I have two working copies after all those non working ones.Go figure! So,I picked this game up about a year ago and have just gotten around to playing It. I've played It before, when It first released actually, but never beat It.I thought I'd suck at It since It's been so long since I've played, but It was kind of like riding a bike. The mad skillz came surging back and before you know It I had the mansion cleared of the first wave of Zombies including the giant snake .After clearing out the back  garden area ,It was time to go back inside the mansion to open up the rest of the locked doors .FAT MOTHERPOPPING CHANCE!Why you ask?Cuz uh dis door right here.. ..The shit won't open! The game Is still r

Rathtar's and the Many Possibilities!

Now that we've looked at the Rathar's out of box and in hand, let's put them to  good use.Like I stated before,I wanted them to be generic alien creatures for my Marvel Universe ,however, Rathtar's are anything but generic. It feels like your holding a real ,live little life-form when   these guys are in hand.Lets check out some cool Rathtar/Marvel Universe figure combinations with   characters that I think make the most sense. Lets begin with the most obvious.Mole Man Is known for rolling with a crew of  monsters and alien like ,subterranean creatures. While there are a few that are unique to Mole Man ,who says you can't throw a couple of these Rathtars into the background for an added effect.I think they're a match made in ...hell? Doc Ock also makes alot of sense here.Mad scientist, science experiment involving an octopus gone wrong and suddenly Dr.Octavious has bodyguards. Silver Surfer Is an alien life-form himself,so he Is certainly no stranger t

Star Wars Force Link - Rathtar / Bala - Tik

A little while back, GIJigsaw  posted about this very same Star Wars set and I took interest.Much to my surprise ,these were marked down to 5 bucks and some change on certain eBay vendor sites,so I snagged up two.I could care less about the action figure ,but the Rathtar should double nicely as one of Mole Mans creatures or maybe even a mutant spawn of Magnetos! If your a  3 3/4 Marvel Universe collector ,then you know how weak their playset and vehicle game is.I like the way  Star Wars movie vehicles and sets mesh with my Marvel Universe.    Important note:I almost didn't bite on this set after reading a customer review on It.  He or she stated that the Rathtar tentacles tended to come off easily and weren't very sturdy.I then took to Youtube to see If I could find any other reviews on the Rathtar and I did. This one here  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nFyfhIDPTE  .Not once did he mention anything about the legs on the Rathtar being problematic, so I went on

Flashback - Remember This Monstrosity?

You know, the sculpt wasn't all that bad on this figure save for the added appendage .Also,no tattoos. In fact ,this could be a totally different character independent of the film, If you wanted him to be,that Is. Lots of collectors used the body sculpt for Sgt.Slaughter customs.

The Tim Mee Toys  Battle Mountain play set seems to be all the rage on toy collector blogs and action figure related social media pages these days. While It Is designed more for mini toy soldiers ,It can be used for so much more!Or...can It?I picked one up for myself. It's a great set, aesthetically, but It was a bit of  a balancing act when placing my Fraggle Rock premiums on the semi flat platforms. The areas designated to display figures are kind of on an incline,so It takes a little work to get your figures to stand properly. It's not horribly hard to do but It may test your patience a little.  Displaying  your vintage Joes on this might not  be a good idea for the long term unless you've got them placed on stands.  You can still get some great shots, even with the larger figures. Mini figures work the best with a set like this. The over sized foot sculpts stand more securely than the smaller feet on a 3 3/4 ac
