Mattel Secret Wars - Daredevil

Got this guy cheap on the bay and considering how rough these Daredevils usually look ,this one's not that bad.If you weren't aware, this particular figure's paint has been known to run, some call it bleeding because of the color. You can't tell from the pic but mine has lighter shaded arms and legs that faded over time.Do not ,i repeat do not try to take a wet rag to your Secret Wars Daredevil figure .It will actually begin to rub off.I find it strange that this is ,presumably, the only figure in the line that does this.On the positive side,he still has the majority of his DD emblem.

Here is my collection as it stands now.

  1. I have a spiderman in hand that I was washing up to send out in a trade and most of his detail pain washed off , it was a terrible turn of event's lol

  3. Oh man... these look awesome displayed together. Although I don't anticipate ever adding DD to my collection, that's good information you gave in this post. Can you imagine finding this figure at the flea market, taking it home, and destroying it on accident while trying to clean it off? I'd be devastated.

  5. Good grouping! You just gave me a flashback of playing darts in the bar back in my wilder days.Secret Wars still rocks today,Colin, evidently with the mini bobble heads and jumbo releases.A solid line. Just DON'T GET THEM WET!!!

  6. Very nice! We own this Daredevil, which we found at the flea market years ago but it is in bad shape. Still own many of my original Secret Wars figures.

    1. Nice,Kim!Marvel based figures were slim pickings back in the early 80s so these were gold in our hands back then.
