Recent Pick Ups!

So, I thought Marvel Select was an older product but I guess these figures ( Magneto and Wolverine) released last year. Either way, I love both of them! I'll go deeper into it in my next post. The Marvel Universe Professor Xavier figure was one I've been needing in my collection for some time and have finally gotten around to picking one up.

  1. I love the look of the Marvel Select packaging. I always thought it'd be cool to have a wall filled with a bunch of them.

    1. Agreed. They take up a lot of room but the artwork and packaging are fantastic.

    2. There's alot to like with Select figures. They are certainly not for everyone, though. Agreed, the overall presentation and added extras like display stands coupled with flashy boxart rocks!

  2. Marvel Select used to offer a lot more but they've reduced to a trickle - which is good cause it helps the wallet and they've been mostly awesome Uncanny X-Men figures.

  3. Marvel Select actually seems to keep their products in circulation, or at least re-release them from time to time, if they're good sellers. Would you believe that Wolverine was first released in 2009? I think Magneto is from 2011. They're cool, though, and they display really nicely.

  4. That's probably why I thought these were older figures. Thanks for the heads up. At least now I know I'm not crazy lol.

  5. I really like that MU Professor X. I got one but I did a head swap with the Matt Trakker figure from G.I. Joe, I planned it to be a civilian clothed Agent Chuckles but it looks old so now it's just a generic suit guy, looks like a president or something even kind of looks like the OCP VP from Robocop 1 somewhat.

That body was also used with the special Rise of Cobra movie two-pack Destro, now with an even better, more fashionable pattern.

Anyways, good haul Magneto looks fierce too! The most powerful mutant in the world.

  6. If I ever create my own superhero, his name will be " Generic Suit Guy" 😉 Yes, I'm absolutely crushing on Marvel Select right now.
