I thought I'd bring back an old tradition that was made popular by Reis O'brien back in the day! Feel free to create your own Nativity Scenes and post!
Your more than welcome to create your own scene ,TB. Bittersweet as it is with all this craziness, I gotta get into the spirit. I found that tree in my mom's box of decorations and fell in love with it, horrifying as it looks 😂
The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends. The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short, our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes. From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits, but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays. The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou...
CT Toys is heavy on my radar right now. I was pleasantly surprised with Wolverine but this Spider-Man figure has made me a full fledged believer. Included are 5 sets of alternate hands, 1 with magnets (6 in all if you count the ones he comes equipped with), 1 extra set of articulated feet with magnets, 4 web streams and an alternate McFarlane style head sculpt. Oh, and a display stand. I've said in the past how sucky I am at posing action figures. That said, MAFEX/CT figs are great for posing, even if you're not very good at it. It's "kid gloves" with these guys, though, as they are a little gummier than Legends figures. CT Toys Wolvie and Spidey! Here's CT Toys Spidey next to a couple of Marvel Legends Spider-Man figures. The differences are pretty pronoun...
I'll never forget the great purge of G.I. Joe ROC movie merchandise! They were literally passing these boxes out at the door ,where there were tons more stacked on top of each other just waiting to not be purchased.I say that because I'm pretty sure kids weren't interested In these at the time.Only slow footed adult toy collectors knew what these toys were all about and the value that came with them.I picked up both of these at 5 bucks a piece! Not too shabby considering both came with an action figure pilot. These two sit at the bottom of my shelving unit collecting dust with the only other two vehicles I own. They're still pretty damn neat and every now and again I'll pick up the Hydra and fly It around my room while making swooshing sounds.I still love my Gunship, too,! Can you spot Timber? Check out these other awesome sale stories... ...
Now that's Christmas!

ReplyDeleteI would, but I'm so OCD about how my figures are meticulously displayed that it would cause more mental harm than good to make a tree like this.
DeleteI completely get you. Right now, I don't have that problem as most of my figures are stashed. Not on display but easier to take out and play with !
DeleteThat's awesome! Very festive.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Fuji 👍
DeleteAwesome. Love this idea. Will need to give it a shot.
