Marvel Universe Iron Fist

Scratch another Marvel Universe figure off the want list. I'm pretty damn patient when It comes to waiting on prices of action figures to come down. And even If they don't ,There's always the chance that one will pop up on eBay for the right price.For me, anywhere from 8 to 12 dollars for an action figure Is the "right price". I was lucky enough to find this Iron Fist figure that normally goes for about 20 plus dollars ,for 8 bucks shipped. This Is actually from the Marvel Universe Greatest Battles comic packs that comes packaged with Power Man.



I've had Power Man In my collection for a while now but never thought I'd complete the two man set seeing as how most Iron Fists are so overpriced on eBay. I refuse to spend 20 dollars on a modern  3 3/4 action figure . I got lucky with this one!

    Congratulations on locking one of these down for such a good price. $20 is the going rate for an out of the package figure? What do these two figures typically sell for in the package?

      Thanks Fuji.They retail for about 9 bucks a piece when they first come out.This one came in a two pack wich retailed for 20 bucks.These figures came out in waves and some were chase and shortpacked figures which is probably why they sell for so much now , even loose and out of packaging. This is why people rush out to pick them up from retail so quickly.Some because they actually want the figures and others just to resell them on ebay for insane amounts of money.

    I always preferred 3.75 over the 6 inch Legends stuff.

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. A GI Joe Post That's Not Classified

As much as I love the Classified line of Joe figures, I feel like there's other Joe stuff out there that deserve a little bit of that spotlight.   Pictured are two custom cardback figure protectors and four Diamond Select 💎  GI Joe figures.   I'd been looking for a way to protect my stashed 3.75  o-ring Joe's when I came across these online. I picked up William Perry's and Snake Eyes protectors and will be adding more as they are made available.   These are unpunched, clean and professional looking cardbacks that feature vintage artwork  on the front and file card on the back.  Diamond Select just doesn't get the props they deserve in my opinion. As much as I dig  their Marvel Minimates line, these Joe Minimates are equally cool! I'm not even sure I want to open these guys up. I mean I want to, but would hate to.

Pop Culture League Assignment - Shelfie

I remember The League of Extraordinary Bloggers back In the day, never partook In any of the festivities, though. This time around, especially with state of  the blogosphere , I feel I need to participate a little more to see If we can breathe life back into toy blogging! So , a big thank you to Brian over at Cool and Collected  for  bringing the League back. Here's my  introductory league assignment post. Very simple ,snap a pic of two of your very favorite shelves. I chose the two shelves hat display all of my vintage . It only recently wrapped around to the bottom shelf with the addition of  a couple of Swamp Thing figures I received from Brother Midnight In a recent trade. I'm hoping to fill out the bottom shelf over the coarse of the winter.
