Cardback Conundrum

Damn you Hasbro for making action figure cardbacks cooler than the actual action figures! I'm torn between keeping these amazing Marvel Legends retro 3.75 figures carded and removing them from the packaging. I've already paid scalper prices for them so picking up doubles of these figures is out of the question. I've been brainstorming different ways to open the packaging in a way that I could possibly put the figures back in the bubble to  hang  up for display. It'd be cool If someone invented a perforated back where you could remove the figure from the back and keep the front in tact.

  1. Can't remember where I saw these first... but I had the whole set in my shopping cart and was gonna buy them. Ended up walking away b/c I just don't have the room to store more figures. And I totally would have kept these in the package, b/c the card backs are exactly why I would have purchased them.

    1. I don't see these anywhere, Fuji. But yeah, seeing as how you were going to keep them carded, lots of room would have been needed. I don't know how long I'm gonna hold out but for now they'll remain carded on my wall displayed.

  2. I wanted to collect this line, but had to pass because the possibility for this line to explode to 100+ figures was too high. I just don't have it in me to chase this plus G.I. Joe Classified down.

    1. I like the fact they are releasing alot of figures. I may not hunt them all down but there's a few that are must haves for me. It won't be easy, though thanks to bulk buying resellers.

  3. I preordered most all of the first wave on Hasbro Pulse, and has so far lucked into three additional. I have them stored on card currently, but had planned to bust them open at some point. Totally understand the dilemma regarding opening or not- the cardbacks are fantastic! I hope in the future they will be easier to find.

  4. Congrats, man👍 I'll lose my shit If I ever come across one of these in the wild 😂 I predict most of mine will be acquired via eBay. As far as leaving them on card? I don't know. I think the longest I've ever kept a figure MOC before opening was a month or so. Captain America Super Combat 3.75 movie figure.

  5. For what it's worth, they do look pretty good on the wall where you have them now.

  6. Many thanks, Jon. I think so, too. Hasbro did a great job with this product.

  7. Found a few of these at Target. Yeah - it's a miracle. The thing that caught my attention was that they say Kenner on them. I don't recall Kenner made any type of Marvel figure. So definitely an homage to the original Star Wars cards.

  8. That's funny, Jigs, I thought the same thing. Kenner was mostly Star Wars and DC.
