Transformers Age Of Extinction - Crosshairs

Image
I have to admit to not liking TF's Age of Extinction,at all.I would give you a detailed rant but can't due to the films schizophrenic pace.It was all just a bit too much for me ,except for the one bright spot,Crosshairs!Aside from Bumblebee,he might be my favorite Autobot of the 4  TF films. Here, let me explain why  .... You can't get anymore bad ass than that.So when I found Crosshairs sitting towards the bottom of the box  Derek  sent me ,I was pretty excited.Ever since Dark of the Moon,I haven't been keeping up with the toys ,so while I knew Age of Extinction figures existed ,I never paid them any mind.I'm still not impressed with any of the line ,but Crosshairs Is the diamond In the rough.I wondered how  Hasbro  would pull off his trench coat ,In fact I'm not even sure how Michael Bay pulled It off In the film, but  surprisingly enough both made It work. The car mode Is sharp ,and fits together nicely. Some TF movie figures suffer from pieces not

DC Total Justice - Darkseid

Image
Keeping the Coolandunusual ball rolling ,today we have DC's Total Justice Darkseid!I'm no DC aficionado, but I am familiar with Darkseid.Oh,and I love that his name is spelled with a "s-e-i-d' and not "s-i-d-e" . I'm not really familiar with his background, though, and was a bit too lazy to go fishing for It  on  the interwebs. He kind of reminds me of Thanos. I thought about picking up some more Total Justice figs to accompany Darkseid on the shelves ,but decided against It.It would be to daunting of a task to get wrapped up in another toy line, even though the Total Justice figures are totally affordable and worth checking out.Plus,Derek may have sparked my interest In Transformers Mashers,so that along with Titan Heroes currently has my undivided attention .John from Robot Monster Space Super Hero expressed some interest In the figure so If he still wants It ,then to him It shall go.It Is an awesome figure, though, with a working claw that Is permanently att

Hasbro Jurassic Park lll - Military General

Image
Of all the figures Orniphus meticulously  packed into that Amazon Prime box, this was one of the gems that stood out to me.At first glance,I kind of figured It was a JP figure ,and after further research,It seems I was right.Jurassic Park figures ,while not heavily articulated, sport some really cool sculpts. In fact,If Fisher Price were to re-release an Adventure People  line of figures ,this Is how I would want them to look .Like most other JP figs, this generic Military General Is pre-posed in a stance  fit for a heavy machine gunner. In fact  that's the kind of weapon he originally comes with, along with a small scale T-Rex.The cool thing about this figure Is his blank slate. He works with pretty much any other military themed action figure and can also be inserted into your Marvel Universe as your standard General. You could also use him as Duke for your Joe universe or Rico from the Star Ship Troopers film.I'm gonna have this figure stick around just In case I decide to pick up

Bandai 2005 Power Rangers - ?

Image
Not sure who this fella Is,but he's pretty damn cool!Running down the line of  figures sent over to me by Orniphus (Derek) of Coolandunusual,we have what seems to be a samurai from the Power Rangers line of figures.I have no clue what his name Is or affiliation. He's very articulated and can be put In some real cool poses.I had fun snapping shots of him beating down Iron Man.I'm not a collector of anything Power Rangers ,so this figure Is up for grabs.Let me know in the comments below If you wanty!

Transformers Knock-Off - Air Raid

Image
Another great little figure In the box of  toys Derek sent over recently,TF knock -off Air Raid!At first i thought this was one of those Quick Change Family Dollar joints, but after looking at the instructions,It seems that this Is indeed a legitimate ,Transformers knock-off, If that makes any sense. It reminds me alot of the old Go-Bots figures, only lesser in the quality department. That's not to say that the figure is bad.In fact the only real knock against Air Raid would be his right arm, which Is a little loose. The rest of the joints hold up surprisingly well.He looks great In robot mode but shines In his alt mode. After messing around with him for a minute,It dawned on me that he was about the same scale as my Legends Class Optimus and Bumblebee. In fact, that's who I have chosen to display Air Raid with.I'm wondering If these are available locally?Enjoy the pics! I've since removed his stickers to give a more legitimate look, and It really

Marvel Titan Hero Series - Falcon & Iron Man

Image
I can remember seeing these on toy shelves when they first came out and totally dogging them.Seeing them inside of those funny looking long boxes didn't help things either.I thought ,well maybe just another gimmick for the kids ,but definitely not for the adult toy collector. The first few waves did nothing for me,and I thought the line would never  gain any momentum. Then I began seeing online pics of upcoming waves featuring guys like Green Goblin,Black Suit Spider-Man and Falcon. Not only that but some came with accessories and vehicles as well !Then I received a Titan Hulk for X-Mas and loved the way It looked on display, and instantly wanted more for the toy shelf.Derek (Orniphus) of Coolandunusual  ,must have picked up on that and sent me an e-mail stating that he had a slightly banged up Falcon and Iron Man Titan figure, and If I had any use for them.I knew that I would eventually add some more Titans to my collection but I never thought they'd come by way of a gift from anot
