GI Joe Origins Snake Eyes

Image
I haven't seen Snake Eyes GI Joe Origins yet but from what I've heard it's not that good. I have, however, recently viewed a few scenes on Fandango Movie Clips and it didn't seem so bad. For a martial arts film, anyway. I wasn't crazy about the revamping of the Snake Eyes character but was willing to give Henry Golding a chance as long as they didn't change the backstory too much, and then they did. I guess I can't fairly criticize until I actually see the movie. On the positive, we got more Snake Eyes action figures.     Seeing as how I purchased this together with the Lanard Predator figure, I have to say that I had more fun with Lanard's product. Maybe it was the brightness and overall presentation of Lanard's Predator packaging that appealed more to me than the lesser stimulating Snake Eyes box. The drab color scheme is fitting for Snake Eyes I guess.  Again, no bio or backstory on the back of the box. Not even

Action Figure Extraction!

I've been eyeing my Marvel Legends Retro 3.75 figs hung up on my wall for a minute now, brainstorming possible ways to get them out of the packaging while keeping the bubble intact to redisplay them. I knew what I was going to do in theory but never got around to the actual implementation of the plan.  A couple days back I successfully removed Daredevil and Black Panther. Using a new utility knife razor, I carefully cut out a rectangular shaped exit point at the top of the bubble for my Daredevil figure to slide through.  It worked like a charm! Ya gotta fudge it a little but eventually the figure will come out complete in it's plastic mold. Discard the plastic mold, you won't be needing it. Now, with the extra space I can redisplay my Daredevil figure with staffs equipped!  You can't even tell the top's been cut out. It's gonna be a little harder with the bigger figures but it should work the same. Jus

Whoa! Lanard Predator Is Pretty Sick!

I've always given Lanard props for their quality, low priced action figure lines. I've even gone as far as sending them an email to compliment them. But damn, they really raised the bar with this Predator figure! Let's start off with the high quality packaging. Bright, vivid images throughout coupled with a short bio on the back all on  durable cardboard packaging. That cartoon esq drawing on the front makes me want a Predator animated series now! I like when action figure lines include background dios. They could have left it a bland, solid color but instead opted to add some cool jungle images and a target over an infrared backdrop. In hand Berserker Predator is solid! I honestly didn't expect it to be. Hell, my old Neca Predator figure, while nicer looking, was wobbly as all hell. Even some GI Joe Classified figures suffer from loose ab joints. This figure's joints are tight with
