Action Figure Of The Day
My first memories of Godzilla stem back to the late 70s movies. But I also enjoyed the crap out of the 80s cartoon series. I used to have the larger Imperial Godzilla as a kid but I'm just as happy to own this 4 inch version.
Seeing that toy just brought back a huge childhood memory... when I had these huge Shogun Warrior toys. One was this robot guy and the other was Godzilla. If I had more space to display things, I'd consider going out and tracking them down.
ReplyDeleteMy older brother had all of them. Mazinger Z and a bunch of other ones that I wouldn't be able to name off the top of my head. They were great toys. The fist launching feature on them was awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteGodzilla (and friends) figures were the first toys that I actually collected/displayed as a kid. I've purged many things over the years, but never could get rid of those, they just remind me of my childhood too damn much to ever part with them.
ReplyDeleteWhy is that? I feel the same way btw. Only I have a hard time purging much of anything vintage in my collection. Especially those that make that all important childhood connection.
ReplyDeleteGodzilla - so much goodness.
ReplyDeleteI agree, wholeheartedly 👍
