DC Spin Master Heroes Unite - Shazam!

Today we take a look at Shazam! 



I got lucky with the paint apps on this one. Everything Is pretty clean on this figure.



Not hard to tell who this locker belongs too. 'Hello!Anybody home!?!"


I'm guessing that first mystery accessory Is supposed to be Shazam! as a kid? Before the transformation? Then we have the bent piece of scrap metal and an energy/lightning effect. 


My theory on being able to adjoin the collectible cards was an incorrect one. Here we have a totally different background from the Superman and Cyborg cards .


Shazam! standing next to who I can only assume Is Billy Batson.



I really like the energy effect. It fits, with a peg, into Shazam's hand but looks natural when equipped.



And the obligatory piece of warped scrapped metal that figures like Hulk, Superman and Thing always seem to include.


A nice, clean cut cape! It's kind of hard to describe the fabric, though. It's cloth but then again It's not.   


The flash would not work for this pic. Not sure why, but I must have taken 5 straight shots from the same angle and no flash. I don't know I kind of like the matte look of  It.

    Captain Marvel has always been one my favorite comics characters... It's too bad he can't use his actual name anymore... We all know why but it's still a shame. I recently reviewed the Super Powers version over on my blog.

    At least with this line I have a chance of filling up the roster a little better than I could with the older Infinite Heroes line.

    That's cool. The gold Billy Batson is really odd, though. Ambitious, sure, but really odd. I like the other accessories a lot. You do get a decent amount of stuff with these. I like your reviews so I can see what actually comes in those lockers! I wonder what Batwoman has?

    Thanks BBQ ;) These figures kind of lit a fire under me, making me want to go a little more in depth with my posts. I think it has to do with all the extras you get along with the figure. I'm hoping I run into a Batwoman and Wonder Woman figure my next time out.

    I recently watched the Shazam movie with my kids and they really liked it! If I ever come across this figure in the wild I will have to pick it up for their collection! Great review!

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. A GI Joe Post That's Not Classified

As much as I love the Classified line of Joe figures, I feel like there's other Joe stuff out there that deserve a little bit of that spotlight.   Pictured are two custom cardback figure protectors and four Diamond Select 💎  GI Joe figures.   I'd been looking for a way to protect my stashed 3.75  o-ring Joe's when I came across these online. I picked up William Perry's and Snake Eyes protectors and will be adding more as they are made available.   These are unpunched, clean and professional looking cardbacks that feature vintage artwork  on the front and file card on the back.  Diamond Select just doesn't get the props they deserve in my opinion. As much as I dig  their Marvel Minimates line, these Joe Minimates are equally cool! I'm not even sure I want to open these guys up. I mean I want to, but would hate to.

Recent Pick Up!

My last "Merry Christmas To Me" post was going to be of Marvel Legends Spider-Man animated cartoon series figure that I thought I was getting a great deal on. It turns out the figure was a bootleg. $30 down the drain and a fake Spider Man figure in the trash. I didn't even bother trying to get a refund from the seller. I'll chalk it up to a loss and keep it moving. So today I figured I'd  treat myself to something dope in the toy aisles at my local Walmart and found this!  I'm not sure if this is a reissue or what but It was the last one on the pegs and so I grabbed it. Now I can't get that damned theme song out of my head.
