Super Fighting Robot!



Anybody  ever have this theme song trapped In their heads?I'll be washing the dishes and out of nowhere I'll start singing "Super Fighting Robot...MEGA MAN!" ,repeatedly ,lol.And who doesn't love Mega Man?I wasn't crazy about the NES games but I loved the SNES and PS1 versions. I've always wanted a Mega Man action figure but most were on the larger side and I was looking for something a little more portable.Luckily Hasbro has started releasing figures based on the MARVEL vs. CAPCOM games.Two packs of the more popular characters ,Mega Man  being one of them.He comes packaged with an Iron Man figure that I already have so I picked up the lone Mega Man fig.I didn't know what to expect ,articulation wise.After receiving It In the mail and messing around with It for a little while ,I'm pretty impressed!


I counted 14 points of articulation.The head moves sided to side ,shoulders swivel and  the arms bend and rotate at the elbow .The legs are on a ball socket and swivel and bend at the knees.The feet move ever so slightly but really are just stationary for the most part.




The blast effect  looks great and  the large feet counter balance the figure when the accessory Is attached. 





It's a really fun action figure with awesome paint apps.Mine came with a slightly loose left leg joint but that might also be due to the lower part of his legs being so heavy.On the flip side,It's those larger feet that both balance and allow for some really cool poses .

For now ,I'm displaying him with my Marvel Universe figures.Hopefully Hasbro releases other Capcom figures from the game like Chris Redfield ,etc.That way I can have a dedicated Capcom display.

    I never saw the Mega Man TV show but I do get the video game music stuck in my head; I play some of this one once in a while when I'm in a nostalgic mood. (this one is my favorite)

    The blast effect looks great on your figurine!

      Thanks, Chris.I have Mega Man x5 on my Ps3 but have yet to play it.I beat it once on my PS1 years ago.Mega Man games are dope!The colors ,artwork ,pretty much everything about them.

    I used to watch that cartoon early in the mornings with my younger brother before school! Now that song is stuck in my head! I have MegaMan and ProtoMan action figures that I got from the Dollar Tree years ago in my collection.

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

A GI Joe Post That's Not Classified

As much as I love the Classified line of Joe figures, I feel like there's other Joe stuff out there that deserve a little bit of that spotlight.   Pictured are two custom cardback figure protectors and four Diamond Select 💎  GI Joe figures.   I'd been looking for a way to protect my stashed 3.75  o-ring Joe's when I came across these online. I picked up William Perry's and Snake Eyes protectors and will be adding more as they are made available.   These are unpunched, clean and professional looking cardbacks that feature vintage artwork  on the front and file card on the back.  Diamond Select just doesn't get the props they deserve in my opinion. As much as I dig  their Marvel Minimates line, these Joe Minimates are equally cool! I'm not even sure I want to open these guys up. I mean I want to, but would hate to.

Pop Culture League Assignment - Shelfie

I remember The League of Extraordinary Bloggers back In the day, never partook In any of the festivities, though. This time around, especially with state of  the blogosphere , I feel I need to participate a little more to see If we can breathe life back into toy blogging! So , a big thank you to Brian over at Cool and Collected  for  bringing the League back. Here's my  introductory league assignment post. Very simple ,snap a pic of two of your very favorite shelves. I chose the two shelves hat display all of my vintage . It only recently wrapped around to the bottom shelf with the addition of  a couple of Swamp Thing figures I received from Brother Midnight In a recent trade. I'm hoping to fill out the bottom shelf over the coarse of the winter.
