  1. I have been trying to figure it out on my own from the pieces you have added to this collection but Im at a loss so Ill just ask : Do you have a favorite team that you are putting together or just like the big names that you enjoyed watching at the time? I admit Im not a sports fan these days but back in the 80's I was a baseball fan .I collected baseball cards and even went to a few games. My teams where the (in this order) The A's ,The Orioles and the Dodgers .I lived in Hayward California back then and was right near the Alameda County Coliseum where the A's had their home games so for me they were the local team and boy did they have a fantastic team back then!

  2. The top shelf consists of 1988 figures, mixed N.L. and A.L. Made up of some of the bigger names in that era.

The middle shelf Is made up of 90's figures.

The last shelf is my Oakland Athletics collection. My favorite A.L. team back in the day.

Not pictured are my 1988 Mets collection. They were my favorite N.L. team and those are up on top of the toy shelving unit.

I know It's a little confusing. But that's pretty cool that you lived close by the A's stadium.Especially in the 80's when they were a perennial playoff/WS team.

    1. Ah ok I see it now , I guess I'm not one for putting together patterns. Yeah those day back then were pretty fun ,I still have a little A's panda bear I got free at a game once. I forgot to mention thats a really nice looking display ! I like how you have all your bases covered ( no pun intended) and everything fits nice and neat onto the one shelf. Not on to SL Basketball Im guessing?

  4. Nice figures especially that Maddux. I had between 10 and 20 back in the day. I might still have some in boxes. I need to do some digging. Glad he asked about your collection. I was curious myself. Thanks.

  6. Great job on the display! I'm a little bummed that we won't be seeing any new additions to the baseball SLU collection. These have been some of my favorite blog posts. Wish more people out there collected and blogged about them.
