1992 Marvel Toybiz - Human Torch (Fireball Flinging)

I'm about three figures away from wrapping up posting about Derek's  gift box of action figure awesomeness!Saving the best for last!Here we have 1992 Toy-biz Marvel Super Heroes Human Torch.When Toy-biz began releasing Marvel action  figures In the early 90's,I was kind of bummed because I was just getting to that age where keeping and playing with your toys was frowned upon by pretty much every other "normal" and "cool" 15 year old.I can't front ,though,I loved the shit out of them!Not so much the obscure characters,but the main guys like Punisher,X-Men,Fantastic 4,Spider-Man, etc.It truly was a dream come true for kids who grew up with the limited cast of  Marvel Secret Wars figures of the 80's.The Human Torch Is a figure I would have loved to have as a kid and am happy to have now.Oh the fun I would have had starting pretend fires around the house with Flinging Fireballin' Human Torch in hand yelling "Stop,Drop and Roll Bi*%#!"All jokes aside,what I love the most about this figure Is that It's the first 3 3/4 toy rendition of The Human Torch (correct me If I'm wrong). Mego did release a Torch dollie but that's about It.I just like to be able to say that I have the first 3 3/4 Human Torch action figure.It's like having their rookie card.

    I've always felt like the Human Torch is a really hard design to convert to a 3D toy.

      Agreed.A Johnny Storm figure with snap on flames might have been cool.

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

Recent Pick Up!

My last "Merry Christmas To Me" post was going to be of Marvel Legends Spider-Man animated cartoon series figure that I thought I was getting a great deal on. It turns out the figure was a bootleg. $30 down the drain and a fake Spider Man figure in the trash. I didn't even bother trying to get a refund from the seller. I'll chalk it up to a loss and keep it moving. So today I figured I'd  treat myself to something dope in the toy aisles at my local Walmart and found this!  I'm not sure if this is a reissue or what but It was the last one on the pegs and so I grabbed it. Now I can't get that damned theme song out of my head.
