2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

Sorry I haven't been doing much in depth posting. Lately I've been putting in alot of hours at work as we've been hit with the Covid bug. Luckily I escaped it but a few coworkers weren't so lucky. Because of our staff shortage I've had to open and close the store which means I'm the first one there and the last one out. But I wanted, quickly, to go over a line of figures that I've been picking up alot of lately, Marvel Select.         With me, I like to be different. I hate going after the " in thing" when it comes to action figures. I almost always go against the grain, choosing to chase toy lines most collectors avoid or don't have much to say about. So I guess you could say that it was Marvel Legends insane popularity that drove me right into the arms of Marvel Select. Don't get me wrong, Marvel Legends has tons to offer, but there's something about Select that sets them apart.          With earlier Marvel Select figures,...

I stopped in to my local Walmart and found this tucked away alongside a bunch of other DC McFarlane figures. This was the last one, so , glad I was able to snag it up. Believe it or not there was also a Gung Ho Classified figure hanging lonely on the pegs for $17. I passed it up, though, as I wasn't too fond of that figure. I've still got some Marvel Select pics to post as well as pics of this figure as soon as I'm able to open the toy. Stay tuned!

Marvel Select is heavy on my radar these last couple of weeks and here is yet another massive contribution from Diamond Select toys! 

I've never been much of a 6" action figure collector. I've always felt like Marvel Legends figures were cool but not much different than the smaller scaled  Marvel Universe figures. Certainly not distinguished enough for me to start collecting them. Marvel Select, however, appealed to me in the sense that the figures were much larger than Legends and sculpted differently. When comparing both lines it was almost as if I was looking at  different artists rendition of the same characters. Idk, it's kind of hard to explain, but I'm totally in my feels right now and Its all Marvel Select's fault.  I'm kind of gushing 😭 over this Hulk figure! It's based on the Immortal Hulk story arc which I am not very familiar with. I'll have to do my homework, maybe pick up a few issues. 

I'm really feeling Marvel Select right now. Legends gets all the attention these days, and deservedly so, but Select packs a punch, too! I've been so  busy these last few months with work that I haven't been able to properly post a review on any of my Select figures. I'm hoping to do so soon.  Stay tuned  ✌️
