More ToyBiz Love

My plans to strictly stick to MOC Marvel ToyBiz  Superheroes figures flew right out the window. With this Captain America going for well over what I was willing to pay for It new,a loose ,semi mint figure ran me a few bucks. He's incomplete ,missing his shield launcher but I'm good with that. His paint Is still pretty much flawless with the exception of the "A"on his cowl.

Here's what I'm working with ,so far.

I also have this ToyBiz Human Torch figure that's been hanging around my collection ,collecting dust.I might just go after the F4 figures, too. They are pretty affordable and the Thing looks cool as heck.We shall see.

  1. What size are they? are they 3-3/4" or 4-1/2" like Super Powers?

    1. When did these come out? All I remember were the Secret Wars figures and they didn't mix as well with Super Powers...

  3. This was early 90's .The X-Men figures displayed behind the Marvel Superheroes was ToyBiz's official first line of Marvel figures and they came out In the late 80's.They then followed them up with a line of Marvel Superheroes. At this point I wasn't into collecting action figures,I had outgrown (or thought I had outgrown)toys but still loved what Toy Biz was coming out with.

  6. Loved these figures. I remember getting hyped when my brother picked up the Daredevil figure in his new black armor outfit. Even without the shield launcher this Captain is a great find in such good condition!

    2. My only issue with that figure that I can remember is that it seemed like his legs were too close together which made it a pain to try and stand him up.

    1. Yeah there were tons! They seemed to keep It simple with this initial line ,making the figures more comic accurate with more articulation later on down the road.

  9. I had quite the collection of Marvel Super Heroes. In fact, they technically qualify as the last toy line I collected as a "kid".
