The Walking Dead - Carl Grimes

It took me a while to embrace the character early on in the series but once Carl Grimes came into his own he became one of my favorites.  I kind of figured he'd end up being alot like his dad and to a certain extent ,given his heart and compassion for others, a better version of Rick Grimes. This figure is an earlier representation of the character.

The weathering effect on these figures is top notch. I love the paint apps, especially on the boots and vest/hoodie.

    There's definitely an ebb and flow to the series, but I'm glad I was able to stick it out.

    Great looking figure. I wasn't a big fan of Carl early in the series either, but I went back and forth on a few characters on that show. Most have been okay to cool... but I think the only two I've really liked the entire time are Daryl and Michonne.

      It's crazy how a character can grow on you. Negan was another one I developed a soft spot for.

    I vaguely remember Carl was supposed to come with a pistol with silencer but was deemed inappropriate for a toy. Another figure comes with the pistol/silencer in that series but I forget who it was.

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

Recent Pick Up!

My last "Merry Christmas To Me" post was going to be of Marvel Legends Spider-Man animated cartoon series figure that I thought I was getting a great deal on. It turns out the figure was a bootleg. $30 down the drain and a fake Spider Man figure in the trash. I didn't even bother trying to get a refund from the seller. I'll chalk it up to a loss and keep it moving. So today I figured I'd  treat myself to something dope in the toy aisles at my local Walmart and found this!  I'm not sure if this is a reissue or what but It was the last one on the pegs and so I grabbed it. Now I can't get that damned theme song out of my head.
