This is my shelf of bad ass! It will be strategically populated by Punisher, Wolverine, Snake Eyes and the occasional Batman figure. Notice the empty space next to Snake Eyes? I've got a Legends figure on the way to remedy that😉 Stay tuned!
Funny you should say that. Right after snapping the pic I posed my SpinMaster Batman next to the Puns and Wolvies and it looked decent. It might just happen 😝
Growing up we had lots of cool superhero toys to collect. There was never a shortage of Batman, Superman or Spiderman figures in the toy aisles. Mainstream characters got all the love. Dudes like Daredevil, not so much. That all changed in the mid to late 80's (Mattel Secret Wars) and in 1990 Toy Biz would start releasing their seemingly neverending line of Marvel Superheroes that gave us action figures of everybody from Daredevil to Deathlok.
The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends. The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short, our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes. From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits, but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays. The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou...
Ooooh, this is a good one!Corner stores. What would we,as kids, have done without em'!Corner stores were our gas stations.Where we would go to fuel up on junk food at the midway point of our day.On the way there we would reflect on how things had gone so far and speculate on what might or should happen next.Jokes were told, friends were clowned and many a fart was laid. I think It was one of those things where the journey was more enjoyable than the destination. After all,we were free!Like Toy Box mentioned In his Round Robin post, back In the days there were no terror threats,Ebola outbreaks or ballsy pedophiles on the prowl. We all came from the same hood so everybody knew everybody and all the crazies knew better than to mess with anybody's kids.Corner store visits was our time to walk the streets on our own, free of any parental guidance. The sidewalks were ours to speed on with our bikes and skateboards.Parks, even if chained up,always had a weak link and a...
Wow they look pretty cool. You need a 4 inch batman though lol (Batman Beyond or Keaton would fit lol.) Just kidding, the display looks great as is!

ReplyDeleteThere was a time in my life where I owned every single Punisher comic book. Those days are long since passed.
ReplyDeleteI had a few but got sidetracked with every other comic that started with the letter X lol.
ReplyDeleteStorm Shadow? Lol. Not even sure if GI Joe has Legends figures... but SS is badass too.
ReplyDeleteHe's got a 6" Gi Joe Classified figure out and while it's pretty cool looking I'd prefer his original version. Or even version 2.
ReplyDeleteYeah... nothing beats the original.
Delete3.75 for the win! Will always be superior to the six inch Classified.
DeleteI agree, wholeheartedly 🙏
Deletethat shelf gonna need extra support to hold all the coolness.
ReplyDeleteLol I agree!
