Action Figure Of The Day


Drawing inspiration from Alexis on Alexis' Treasures (Collectors Universe) and her Battlestar Galactica post, today we take a look at Hammerhead. Some of my first pop culture memories include Michael Jackson videos, E.T. and of course, Star Wars! I wasn't lucky enough to own a Hammerhead figure back then but I remember my older cousin having one. If I ever do a top ten vintage figure head sculpts post, Hammerhead will most definitely be at the top of that list 🔨 🔨 🔨

    I owned that one back in the day. Damn... I sure wish I would have kept all of my SW and ESB figures and play sets.

    Hammerhead has to be one of the most iconic vintage Star Wars figures.

    I had the Sears exclusive cantina set that included this figure along with the tall version of Snaggle Tooth!

    Oooh imagine getting something like that as a kid, a SEARS exclusive! So cool👍 Wait , isn't that tall Snaggletooth the rare one or was it the smaller version?

    Yeah, that Ovion figure was pretty dope! I would have probably liked Ovion more than Hammerhead as a kid.

    I remember when the second wave came out. All those cantina aliens. Had to get Greedo and Hammerhead and Snaggletooth and....

    That was the epitome of a great action figure line. So many to choose from and practically everyone in the film's got the action figure treatment.

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

Recent Pick Up!

My last "Merry Christmas To Me" post was going to be of Marvel Legends Spider-Man animated cartoon series figure that I thought I was getting a great deal on. It turns out the figure was a bootleg. $30 down the drain and a fake Spider Man figure in the trash. I didn't even bother trying to get a refund from the seller. I'll chalk it up to a loss and keep it moving. So today I figured I'd  treat myself to something dope in the toy aisles at my local Walmart and found this!  I'm not sure if this is a reissue or what but It was the last one on the pegs and so I grabbed it. Now I can't get that damned theme song out of my head.
