Go! Games and Toys
The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends. The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short, our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes. From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits, but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays. The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou
OH the memories. All good ones...

ReplyDeleteLife is only as complicated as one makes it.
ReplyDeleteVery true,that Is,until things get complicated ;)
ReplyDeleteNever had Colossus, but I definitely had a decent amount of Toy Biz X-Men figures. Good stuff! I remember having some kind of set that had an X-Men comic, sticker puzzles, activity books, and other things. It was one of those kids activity sets, and they probably had other licenses too. X-Men just seemed so "mature" back then so everything they were on was cool!
ReplyDeleteThe X-Men were our TMNT so to speak.
ReplyDeleteYes. Yes, I do!
ReplyDeleteI thought so Spyda ;)
DeleteI didn't have many X-Men toys growing up, I think maybe just one black ops Wolverine and another one I can't remember right now. I was spoiled by G.I. Joe and their numerous points of articulation and perfect size, that 5PoA toys were like a curiosity to have, never a main collecting habit.
ReplyDeleteI loved the sh*t out of the cartoon though, it was my favorite "serious" cartoon lol, since favorite overall were The Simpsons. I did have some X-Men comics too, mostly following the tv series but others with their own plots.
I never did either,Kanov, but always wanted some! The closest I could have gotten to owning some was with the Secret Wars line ,but I only had Captain America,Dr.Doom and both Spideys.I never owned the Wolverine or Magneto from that line. So when Toybiz released these guys I was stoked! The cartoon,Jim Lee comics and video games put everything into maximum overdrive!
ReplyDeleteI didn't have the figures... but I owned the comic book and the video game. Good times.
ReplyDeleteIndeed,Fuji!
