Go! Games and Toys
The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends. The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short, our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes. From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits, but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays. The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou
I had never heard of him till this post ,I also didn't know that Disney bought the Angels and changed the name from the Los Angeles Angels to the Anaheim Angels (yes I am very very behind).
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that ,Brother because that's the pretty much the purpose of these posts,to introduce those who may have never been fans or are just out of the loop to all of those pastime baseball heroes. Baseball is a huge part of our childhoods, even for those who didn't follow it.Chances are a glove was picked up at one point or another,or our dads were rambling under their breath about a close game,or a pack of cards was put in our hands to light the fuse.Even If most of the time they ended up on our bike spokes!
ReplyDeleteI always liked Wally Joyner and he was such a good hitter.
ReplyDeleteSolid. And he had a pretty lengthy career, too.A class act who produced consistently.
DeleteWally was the man back in 1987. I totally thought his rookie cards were going to help me retire early.
ReplyDeleteLol!Alot of collectors thought the same.Sadly, everything from 87 up to 92 was so overproduced, nothing from those eras really gained or even held value.
ReplyDeleteOne of my all-time favorites!
ReplyDeleteHe was definitely one of the greats!
